Pericles: The Peloponnesian Wars 460-400 BC (EDG mod)

Description
This is an updated version of the original Pericles mod by Stin, with QoL changes and other fixes - the original mod by Stin can be found at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1693119846

Pericles is designed by Mark Herman and published by GMT Games:

NOTES
- "The 300" is the larger soldier piece on the Sparta Debate board.
- Alcibiades and the Athenian State Ship are the black pieces on the Athens Debate Board.
- The translucent coloured boxes at the bottom of the table are Hidden Zones for each side to store their strategoi (equivalent to the Player Shields in the physical game). Players of other colours cannot see into them.
- The Player Hand Zones are located behind the Hidden Zones - put your cards here! The only ways to separate out each player's Entourage cards are to either store them in the Hidden Zone or keep them on one side of the hand in their deck.
- There is a hex piece with a numerical counter on it in each hidden zone. Use this to show how many strategoi you are committing to each battle (you can flip it to hide the number on the front, bring it out to the Battle Theatre and then flip again to reveal the number). Then you can move the strategoi pieces out to the Battle Theater.
- No AI charts or rules are included here.
- Right now you'll have to setup the pieces manually depending on the scenario you use in the playbook. If/when I learn how to write scripts I may try to add setup scripts for each scenario, but that's for later.
- you will need to own both the rulebook and playbook in order to play the game!

MOD UPDATES

Initial changes:
- cards now show their backs when in other peoples' hands, not a black card.
- 'The 300' piece is larger than the normal soldiers, and with a metal texture.
- Delian League and Peloponnesian League army/navy/base pieces and key above the board are the correct colour (white and yellow respectively)
- corrected descriptions of some pieces.

Update 1
- rearranged, aligned and tidied counters.
- labelled all pieces (except Issues - they must be unknown when in queue)
- changed Delian League army/navy/base pieces to light grey to make them more visible on board.

Update 2
- Added a background panorama image (Sparta from Assassin's Creed Odyssey!).
- Changed the colour of the Agiad and Eurypontid Honor counters to match their board/card colours more closely.

Lovely, thanks. The only missing game element I can see is the Turn Marker. I know you didn't originally design the pieces. They look fantastic but are a pain to use. The triremes are the biggest problem....the oars come within a pixel of another piece and they flip, so that the theatres end up looking like tangled driftwood piles, ruining the visual effect. You can stack them but that looks non-authentic and defeats the whole point of having realistic looking pieces. While I love the visuals, I'd go back to using an implementation with simple blocks and discs if it were available, with just the special pieces (the 300, Alcibiades and the Salamis) left as miniatures. I do really like the hidden player box and the secret strategos disc.
