V/Line G Class - Ore train (20 trailers)

Description
The G class consists of around 31 diesel locomotives built for V/Line in the mid-to-late 80s. In the mid-90s the freight division of V/Line was sold off entirely and all the G class locomotives have been repainted in the liveries of private companies. This recreation presents the locomotive in its original V/Line livery.

Two locomotives pull a train of ore hoppers, which have been based on the VHEF/VHEY hopper cars (also V/Line). These use the Trailer Variation Loader mod to show as full or empty based on the load of the train. It also auto-reverses the locomotives in the direction of travel.

I will shortly publish a complimentary 10 trailer set for people with less extravagant freight operations, as this train is very long.

With thanks to REV0 for help with the auto-reversal trick.
Thanks to CyberScytheX for the third screenshot (the good one, going through the freight station area)

Maybe, I do play on left hand maps.

I loaded up the game and haven't been able to replicate this. Saw both trains go to a cargo station, then leave in reverse with the front engine(s) going invisible and the back engine(s) becoming visible. Not sure what the cause could be. Is the engine trailer ticked for 'allow to spawn'? Possibly a left-hand/right-hand issue.. :\

With the AVO replace last carriage setting, enabled or disabled, I have two engines on the lead end. When I do activate the AVO setting, the screenshot of the AVO added engine after the 'invisible' engine occurs. With the setting disabled, I just have the 'invisible' engine pulling the train, when in reverse. Hope that helps.

You shouldn't have the replace last engine enabled. There should be two invisible engines on the trailing end that have submesh flags to become visible when reversed..

Thanks for looking into it. Just to be clear the screenshot was of the trailing engine. In this case the AVO replace last carriage function was enabled. With the AVO replace last carriage disabled the 'invisible' engine is the lead engine when travelling in the reversed direction.

The end engine is supposed to be hidden because it flips to being visible when it reverses, and vice versa to the lead engine, but the second one seems inverted in that screenshot.

Hm. Not sure what's changed since I published it. I'll test it out. I'm working on a new freight train with the same engine so will sort it out when that's getting wrapped up.

Hi Robert, thanks for a cool asset. Finding that the end engine (with or withour AVO replace last carriage enabled shows as being invisible? Screenshot: https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1486705130608929659/1549AD17F745C0A0DE6B0F4BEF2373CC96A2DDBA/ . REVO had a similar issue with one of his, thought it was a reverse engine issue?

Very understandable, haha. I've also been meaning to put out a dummy (non-functional) passenger one for looks like REV0 has done, will try to do it soon.
