County class Cruiser (VAN)

The County class were designed as a response to a new order fo ships during the Second Xanthi War, in which a large portion of both the pre-war and early war cruiser fleet were either lost, heavily damaged, or pulled back to let crews recover. These ships also put several new techniques into Earth shipbuilding, mainly an enclosed armored bridge, a notable reduction of point defense turrets (to reduce crossfire incidents to friendly ships), and a return to an angled hull layout.
