stratego_15 - 2a / 2b really needs a thief to find the escape cards and discard them. Without the thief this is hard and thus you can still progress to the next scenario. This is taken from canon campaign and I also found it annoying - too much up to chance.
Jhance - can you give me more context?
The first scenario was really enjoyable, but we are really getting our asses whooped in scenario 2. We play as a wizard and ranger and started out with scenario 2a. But after losing hugely 4 times in a row, we tried 2b once and lost that hugely too. We can't seem to get anything up and running because we keep loosing all our gold, have our champions rendered useless by the elite minions or have them stunned. We also try to keep him from leveling up, because we simply can't keep up with the double flip.
When we play the canon campaigns we play veteran mode and we normally win a scenario at least on the second play through :) We have no knowledge on balancing, but we wanted to tell you about our experience :)
Still, we have enjoyed having a new story to play and we hope that you will finish it at some point too :)
