Canadian National F7A (No. 9171)

Description
(This is my first attempt at a Canadian National livery. Full credit goes to Franks/Gaugepunk for making the first CN F7A).

CN 9171 was originally built in 1948 for the Grand Trunk Western. The locomotive was originally built to F3A specifications, and was given the number 9013. In 1973, GTW 9013 was rebuilt to F7A specifications. From then, the locomotive continued running with Canadian National until retirement in 1989.

Thankfully 9171 was saved for preservation. She was initially donated to the Canadian Railroad Historical Association, and stayed in their care until 2009, when she was moved to the Elgin County Railway Museum. The ECRM is located in St. Thomas, Ontario.

9171 is still based at the ECRM today, and the fact that she was built in 1948 makes her an impressive 72 years old in 2020. Hopefully she'll stick around for many years to come.
