Lake Toya

Description
A simple map I did to test out the kex editor.

:: Story & Details ::

On his way back to Earth, Tal'Set falls into a dimensional vortex that deposits him to a remote area of the Lost Land where an earthquake ravaged an ancient city centuries ago, the local populace do not take kindly on travelers and will shoot first and ask questions later. Find your way out of there by collecting 3 keys scattered through the map!

The map itself isn't something too amazing, it's merely my first attempt at building a map using an editor. As I built sectors and placed actors, it helped me understand how the game works and why it works the way it does.

Depending on your skill, it should take anywhere between 30 to 45 minutes to beat.

I had originally uploaded it a while back but I ran across a weird crash bug that gave me a blue screen every time I reached a certain part, strangely enough, only the steam workshop version seemed to be the one with that issue.

Thanks! I found all of them. Great map by the way. I loved it. It did not feel like a test map of a beginner, but rather a nice finishing touch omage to finishing the game. I enjoyed the way the environments transitioned. My only qualm was some necessary and extremely difficult platforming to which I had to use an infinite lives cheat.

@pawnset
It's been a while since I made the map, I believe it's 4 secrets.
The game does have a secrets counter but I do not know if it works with user made maps.

How many secrets did you populate in Lake Toya? Just a number would be great. I'm a FPS treasure hunter. Also is there anyway to show a counter for secrets in each level in the Turok games?

Never got around to playing this until now. Its a lot of fun and I am really impressed considering this was just an experiment to learn from. There is some sector issues but otherwise, its pretty great. Quite a long playthrough, and I love that it loops around, which means the player has a choice on how to tackle the map. Excellent.

Glad to see it back, didn't realize it was gone! Haven't prowled the workshop enough recently i guess.
