Description
Replaces the current mortarbug with BCG's original one. All the animations, textures, and ragdolls work from my time testing it.





This mod is incompatible with any other addon that replaces or reskins the mortarbug.
Ignore this: black cat, infested, as:i, You didn't ignore it :(

If I recall correctly, you can find the model under models>swarm>mortarbug from within the pak01_dir.vpk file. The textures for the models were found in materials>swarm>models>mortarbug as well. You can also find the rest of the beta models/textures under the swarm folder, like the parasite, harvester, drone, and buzzer. The parasites don't behave quite right when restored, however.

Alright, I'm releasing my test version early to get the patch out. I've ran through a few more times and the crash to desktop should be fixed now. Alongside this fix, he now also uses frozen textures when hit with a freeze grenade, is actually on fire when set aflame, and appears in nightvision correctly.

Please tell me if the problem persists!

I think I may have a fix. I'll test it a little further to see if it's working completely and update this version.

Wow, that's really strange! I've killed him on Residential and a test map with a chainsaw and he died normally but he crashed the game in Timor Station, like you reported. What's also funny is that he doesn't crash the game if he's set on fire or frozen while you're chainsawing him.

I'll look into fixing that, though I'll admit that I have no clue what's causing it to be that specific.

I started the last mission of Jacob campaign, then killed the script-spawned mortar with chainsaw (the one next to an ammo box, heal kit and mining laser, right before the door covered with biomass). I restarded the game and getting it killed by fire was fine for some reasons.

Is there any specific way that you killed them? Also did it crash to desktop or main menu?
