Twitch Chat

Description
Connect the game to the Twitch Chat and get names for animals and raiders. Any pawn with a name from the Twitch chat will show speech-bubbles below the character with that persons chat message.

Some Features:
- Does not modify gameplay in any way
- (Auto-) Pick random names for pawns based on Twitch chat.
- Show chatter messages on pawns (little speech bubbles)
- !stats command will post colony wealth and age to the chat
- Blacklist in case you want to ignore posts from certain users (e.g. nightbot, moobot, etc)
- optional command for 'posting' (displaying?) messages on pawns (by default any message will be shown)
e.g. "!say Hello Pawn"

----------------------------------------------------------

Configuring:
- Go to Options -> Mod Settings -> Twitch Chat
- Click 'Show IRC'
- Generate a new Bot Chat Token at twitchtokengenerator.com
- Fill in your user nick, token, and channel you want to join
- Click 'Test Connection'
- After a few seconds it should say "CONNECTED" and "Channel: #thechannelyouwantedtojoin"

----------------------------------------------------------

The Mod uses an IRC client to connect and read the messages.

Also it does not change the games behaviour in any way, so if you plan to make the perfect 'vanilla' run, you may still use this mod to enhance viewer experience.

This mod creates a lot of funny situations, like being chased by a murderous bunny that wants to kill you while explaining to you how to play the game correctly.

Custom made for Twitch channel 'bonjwa' go check it out.

----------------------------------------------------------

To activate the mod you have to go to mod settings and add a twitch auth-token and corresponding username. Generating the auth token is very simple, for Twitch I use twitchtokengenerator.com.

When you have a connection problem:

- Make sure you have created a correct bot-chat-token and copied the access-token.
- Write the channel name in lower case characters, even if it normally uses an upper case character.
- Try restarting the game after making changes

----------------------------------------------------------
USE THIS FOR TOKEN GENERATION:

twitchtokengenerator.com

hi .Is there a way to make message bubbles bigger? and is it possible to integrate it with RimThemes?

Same as AlexDrake reported. Underscores cannot be typed. Twitch names have to be all lowercase (which is fine, but hard to remember). Bigger issue is that names longer than 16 characters cannot be linked to a pawn. Please fix underscore issue and allow longer twitch names. Other than that, it seems to work fine and is a lot of fun to play with. Recommend always using the "!say" command. Not sure that the !stats command is that helpful, would love to see a full list of commands that can be used by chatters posted to the mod page. Thanks! (what does that surprise checkbox do?)

I have a problem with the underscore "_" and I can't enter it. For example, login: "alex___drake", three underscores between "alex" and "drake" and the input doesn't allow me to enter it. Is it possible to fix this somehow? After all, many twitch accounts have underscores

Test connection button does nothing. Mod doesn't work for me either, even though I followed all instructions

It does connect and works mostly... but sometimes it won't rename pawns automatically being the raiders, visitors and traders. Also it renames wild animals even when I disabled this behaviour in the settings.
I enjoy the update regarding the speed of renaming. It does pick up a lot of duplicate names still.

Anyone used this mod recently? Does not seem to connect, "Test Connection" button does nothing and no indication of any errors or anytthing.

@heye Sweet thank you.

With "link to name" you can tell the mod that the current name of the pawn that you typed in yourself with the regular vanilla pawn rename tool is actually the twitch name.

Just so i understand the "Link to name" feature is if i want to set a pawn to a specific name?

Update:
- Added support for 1.6 and some smaller improvements.
- Fixed some names being picked more often than others.
- Added option to disable speech bubbles
- Improved force random rename to do an instant rename to any of the last chatters
