MW2 Shooting Range

A few days ago, thanks to the recent reveal and release of MW2 Remastered, I was scavenging the workshop for good MW2 maps. I surprisingly found myself unable to find a map of the very first mission of the game where the player finds themselves learning the ins-and-outs of the game mechanics. Let me firstly say that this is my first map ever uploaded to the steam workshop. I have worked on a few crappy small maps to learn the basics of the Hammer editor, but never anything expansive. I decided that it was time the Steam Workshop saw this map in it's vast catalogues of addons; and so, this project was born.

• This is my first map, so there will undoubtedly be errors and bugs; let me know in the comments, and I will do my best to fix them.
  
• All assets other than the base GMOD textures and props are listed below for credits sake. However, this map DOES NOT require them to be installed for the custom models to appear.
  
• This map DOES NOT require any mounted games other than the base GMOD assets.
  
• I am almost constantly working on this map, so I will undoubtedly get burnt out eventually. When I do, I may either move on to a new project and gradually update this one over time. Or, I will simply slow the rate at which I release the updates.
  
• If you enjoyed the map and want to see more from it, make sure to rate it, favorite it, and comment any suggestions you may have.
  
• This IS NOT a one-to-one creation of the original. I will make it as close as possible; however, this is my rendition of the map in the Source Engine. I intend to make it more of a Half-Life-esk map, rather than MW2 (while remaining the same layout and general structure).

A Timer for the Pit

If you've ever played the first mission of MW2, then you know the Pit is supposed to have a timer. While my map does not (yet) have one, I wished to make a challenge of sorts for the player! There are 18 total targets in the Pit; so, here are the rules!

• No Sprinting!
  
• Time yourself from the moment you pass the concrete.
  
• Standard HL2 9mm Pistol only! It has 18 shots!
  
• No reloading, if you miss a target the first time, move on to the next one.
  
• For each target missed, add 1 second to your end time.
  
• The timer ends when you pass the concrete at the end.

My Score: 17.74 seconds with no missed shots.
