simple air filter example

This is a simple filter for your air.
important things:

orange = unfiltered
blue = waste
green = filtered


1: the pump on the unfiltered side must move more air than the engine consumes
2: this design has "buffers" so that the engine wont instantly stall when water is introduced. commonly, for one small engine, a single empty tank is good on the unfiltered side, then all tanks on the filtered side are for your preference. the more tanks on the filtered side, the more time the system will work when underwater.
3: go ahead and modify it for what you need! if you plan to use it a lot then perhaps an even more powerful unfiltered and waste pumps can be added.
4: make sure the fluid port on the waste side goes somewhere, weather that is to some tank, or directly outside that vehicle, that is up to you.
