Avro Vulcan

The Avro Vulcan was a British tailless delta high altitude nuclear jet bomber. It’s unique shape made it a favorite among aviation enthusiasts, and is one of the most famous of the V bombers. Like it’s brothers, the Vulcan was able to carry nuclear weapons or standard bombs. Though it’s main role was that of nuclear deterrent, it saw combat in its secondary role, dropping standard bombs, and using Shrike missiles. It could also function as a tanker. It was retired in 1984, but continued to fly up until 2015. 136 Vulcans are produced, making it the most produced V bomber.
