A wild compilation of maps made before
and a few additional locations.

Vanilla. Set in an apocalyptic/warlike setting.

The Daelite District is in the middle, so try to make sense of the scale of the map. (about 3k x 4k)

ATTENTION, MAP MAKERS

Oh, okay. A little backstory time.

Long ago, like two to three months ago, right after DD - COL's release...I decided to make a big map for an open world project of mine.

Started as a gta-like mission thing(as I do, of course I do, even after the resurgence BS...), ended up as a RTS like mission after complications.

Still gave up three weeks later... and left it to rot in my files until now.




I would like you to make the best out of this map, and make missions or maps from it.

Crop it and make it a mission/map or leave it whole, I do not care.

(Just do not rename this map without modifications and call it a new map. It's bad taste.)

All I wish is that this map would just be available, open-source to map makers and players alike.

This may be my final addition(out of four...technically five) to the CTA workshop, after all.

There is still a frame work of a C&C style mission in form of:

>zones conquerable by both teams, zone area and faction indicators, uses variable for each individual zone.

>hidden point (variable) system for zones(negative for one team and positive values for the other), uses near command

>reinforcement selection

>menu for it, for blitz and tactical modes, uses hide ans show reinforcement commands.

>(not present is a selection between two modes of unit spawn blitz and tactical, which was supposed to let you choose a genre of units to spawn, needs a reinforcement popup to allow for selection)

>building upgrade selection and effects ( makes the "augmented/upgraded reinforcement units appear instead of the ones before; makes more items appear on the structure upgraded)

>a bit of waypoints for units from blitz units(a very few), was it? for them to spawn to.

>buildings to spawn from, purchased in building upgrade part of the menu (air support and R&D/superweapon)

If you can make sense of it and use it, go ahead!
It does not have to be this map too!

I'm building 1 km x 1 km right now (what I thought was big ass for this game) without lag despite a lot of units deployed at the same time. Maybe that helps to narrow down where the "lag threshold" is...

Great mod can be used to make many small scale battles or one large scale laggy as hell battle. It will be missed.

Large enough to make loading the map at least 5 minutes on my PC, but this mod is outdated.

I'll deliver less laggy maps in the future. This is too large. That's why it's abandoned. You can't play in it without lagging.
