Description
This mod ensures fair individual priority to all garrison units in the game.
It impacts situations where garrisons have more than 20 units and decides, based on units usefulness and power in siege, which one will be in garrison, and who will be out.

It uses basic priority table by C.A. as footprint and carefully fixes that low quality vanilla priority table unit by unit. For hundreds of them.

They (C.A.) gave most cavalry, chariots and artillery very low priorities for the most part. But just forgot some other units in these categories.

For example, in vanilla C.A. table, dragon princes are more elite garrison unit than phoenix guards or waywatchers.
But demigryph knights and blood knights were worse than skaven slaves and zombies.


In this mod every single unit in the game who can garrison was looked at and received fair and deserved priority.


Some inside on general priority considering usefulness vs A.I. on walls and in narrow streets with little to no space for maneuvers.
Basic direction set from the top priority to the last priority. But with every single unit having its own set priority according to its unique combat potential.

1. Heroes and characters.
Like vampires and nobles.

2. Monsters and powerful single units.
From star dragon to mortis engine.

3. Elite A.P. archers.
Like waywatchers and shades.

4. Elite infantry and monstrous multi-fighters units.
Like phoenix guard and fimirs.

5. Elite cavalry.
Like necropolis knights and demigryph knights.

6. Best artillery.
Like doom diver catapults and casket of souls.

7. Strong shooters.
Like darkshards and upgraded glade guard.

8. Good infantry.
Like longbeards and chaos warriors.

9. Most artillery.
Like cannons and mortars.

10. Good cavalry.
Like reiksguard and wild riders.

11. Basic shooters.
Like high elves archers and orc arrer boyz.

12. Elite and strong missile chariots.
Like gorebeast chariots and tiranoc chariots.

13. Basic infantry.
Like empire swordsmen and clanrats.

14. Basic and some missile chariots.
Like skeleton chariots and goblin wolf chariots.

15. Weak cavalry.
Like goblin wolf riders and mounted yeomen.

16. Weak melee units.
Like skavenslaves and zombies.

Hello. Sorry, I do not know the cause.
And I did not play any "warhammer" myself (except some unit testing) more than a year.
Because of what C.A. have done to these games. (Game 2 ambush bug and no Q.o.L. ports. Game 3 trash sieges and horrendous campaign A.I. with no challenge after turn 40.)

Also, C.A. refuses to fix horrible sieges in game 3, so I will not, most likely, ever port this to "Warhammer 3". And will not work on this mod here.

It depends on their mod garrison priority values. Generally, mixing new unofficial units is not safe.

If you are using a mod that adds new units how would they be prioritized? Ex: I use the "dragon legion" mod for high elves. A lot of the units that are added are better than the vanilla units that get put in my garrisons currently. Wondering if this mod would help basically

Hello.
Maybe, and a very big maybe , I will look into it for the next patch in November C.A. is planning.
I do not know yet. I strongly dislike what they are doing with sieges. This stupid tower building and arcade U.I. everywhere. Also, they change garrisons like every single patch, breaking your work if you try to make a mod even for personal use only.

C.A. did very bad things to sieges, so I do not have high hopes for now, and do not play the game myself.

Thanks. But I am not sure currently about time and need. I will look into garrison system of game 3. Maybe is it fine as is.
