VR Harris EMU - 7 Car

Description

Harris Train
The Harris train was the first steel body EMU to operate in Melbourne. It was built by Martin & King and Commonwealth Engineering and operated on the suburban network from 1956-1988. This is the 3 door variant of Series 2. While most of the carriages contained asbestos and were scrapped, 56 were converted to H type carriages for use on V/Line services.
This particular set is 7 cars in the following configuration M-T-T-M-BT-T-M
Variants
3 Car: M-T-M
4 Car: M-T-T-M
6 Car: M-T-M-BT-T-M
7 Car: M-T-T-M-BT-T-M
8 Car (Will be added if there is sufficient interest): M-T-T-M-M-T-T-M
Prop

M = Motor Car
T = Trailer Car (Both ends with solid draw bars)
BT = Trailer Car (One side with autocoupler)

I'm on the fence on whether to do a 2-door variant of the Harris. Leave a comment below if that is something that you would be seriously interested in.

Note: Flattening the doors for the LOD has changed how the model reflects light, so there is a noticeable transition from the regular to LOD model that cannot be prevented without significantly increasing the number of tris.

Thanks! I have all the reference material for it, but haven't had a lot of motivation as only sporadically playing CS at the moment. But if I get back into it and no one else has done it first, will be on top of my list.

Legend! Are you thinking about having a crack at doing the Tait train? There's two versions of it on the Transport Fever 2 Workshop.

@Sp3ctre18, Definitely a different era in trains compared to today

@mike.blatzheim, ha! I think your citizens will need that diesel sub, or perhaps 1950s era refrigerators as seen in Indiana Jones.

But does it protect the citizens inside if the nuclear power station in my city blows up, or do I need a diesel submarine pretending to be a US nuclear sub for that?
