Modernised Emotes (includes icons fix) | DO NOT USE - USE COMMUNITY PATCH (CBP) INSTEAD

This uses the fixes found in Interface Icons Fix, but replaces the emotes with modern equivalents from the Twitter emoji set. The British Isles icon fix is also included in this mod.

Note: Interface Icons Fix is not required for this mod to function - the fix is already included.

1) Subscribe to the mod.
2) Ensure that the mod is loaded and enabled in the Rise of Nations mod manager (accessible via Tools & Extras -> Steam Workshop).
3a) The fixed British Isles icon can be seen by selecting British Isles as your map style in a game lobby.
3b) To see the new emotes, use the following code in chat (in-game or lobby chat):


But replace @@ with a number. The restored icons are numbers 54-63, and 112-116.

I'll be quite honest, beyond the British Isles fix I don't know what value fixing these has, as to see this emote you need the mod installed; other people will not see the new emotes if you use them (and if they haven't modded in the fixes required for the emotes in the first place, then they won't even see the classic emotes either).

It's possible that you could use this mod as part of a foundation for simple chat mods that would allow you to use the "new" emotes, similar to the existing Rise of Babel taunt pack. Maybe you could call it "Rise of Discordance" or something.

This mod is NOT compatible with any other mod that modifies the following files:*
- iface_resources2.tga
- icon_texs.xml

* except for Rise of Discordance

IN MULTIPLAYER GAMES, IF NOT ALL PLAYERS ARE USING THIS MOD IT WILL CAUSE THE GAME TO GO OUT OF SYNC UPON LOADING. To prevent this simply disable the mod from the Workshop menu.
