Manuzam MZ-1 Stage 1

Description
(Autozam AZ-1)

A city car from the golden age that SOFACT thought would be fun to add to the Bloody Rally Show. According to some data, the tiny car had a lot of promise in its engine, so it's been freed from restrictions - to a point, of course.

My next experiment is something all the way at the other end of the car spectrum. It's the Autozam AZ-1, one of the most exciting kei cars from the 90s because it was a tiny mid-engined sports car.

It's also a car that just about broke the rating system when I tried to translate it verbatim. The car normally has only 66 horsepower or so to work with due to Japan's kei car legislations, which made it so bad it gave a negative number for required level to earn. So, I took a cue from some of the tunes from Gran Turismo (I personally forget which title) and gave it a number it swears the AZ-1 can be tuned to: 130 horsepower. I've seen one example on a touge tuner video that had about 100, so I know there's got to at least be some grain of truth to that number.

At any rate, this is unlocked at Level 2, making it a good car for all of you hungry for an alternative to the Mud Western in your campaigns, or just looking for something different at the low end of the game's performance parameters. It weighs only 720 kg and is very agile, but it's also twitchy and nervous. Get good at drifting, or all you'll do is fishtail and spin out trying to rein this thing in. Master it, though, and there's no corner you won't conquer.
