Description
Philly, this map is based on Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Camden, New Jersey, starting in the Old City square.

Map should work for Vanilla players but may have some props from DLCs.

The map's terrain is based on the Terrain Party topographical map and is approximately sized in a manner that is true to life. The sun rises in the east. River depths are adjusted based on depth charts. Generally, man-made features, such as piers, are removed. The map includes the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers, as well as the Wissahickon, Darby, Frankford, Cooper and Timber Creeks. The course and depth of the Delaware river at the southern extreme, as well as Frankford Creek, is altered for better fluid mechanics.

Four road connections suggesting I-95, 76 and 676; four rail connections; ship and air are provided. In order to ensure the outside connections capacity is commensurate with the traffic at game start, the road connections are two lane roads until the very edge, where they are three lane highways. Expand and redesign as necessary - download your favorite 81 tile mod to address exterior tiles when required.

Farm and timber resources are within 9 tiles; coal and oil are within 81 tiles. Oil resources on the south-eastern bank of the Delaware can evoke oil resources that are sourced from beyond the realistic confines of Philadelphia. As the Delaware Valley slowly rises from the river banks, fertile farmland is revealed, then gentle forested hills and then coal resources. Similar to the oil, the coal represents coal from beyond Philly. Somehow, anchovies and salmon are abundant and edible in the Delaware. Shellfish is available at the southeastern extremity.
