Griffin's Land: Episode I- WILDERNESS

Description
!PROJECT ON HOLD! Fully playable version, on hold because I'm planning to release a civilized version of this mod.
Content:
- a large new Island, landscape created by hand
- build an own colony on a newly discovered island and defend what you built!
- new npcs
- new weapons
- dungeons
- eastereggs
- custom soundtrack
!Requires Dawnguard!

Griffin's Land adds a large new Island with to the world of Tamriel. You'll get to explore lands without any traces of intelligent life, only pure and wild nature.
I'm aiming to create an environment without any human influence, only pure wildlife. You will explore it and you shall colonialize it. Settle down, build first a tent, a few shacks, a small village, then build a large town with an own harbour. Settling should be done with other mods like Tundra defense (in workshop and on nexus), pocket empire builder (in workshop) and RTS for skyrim (on nexus). Requires Dawnguard now.

Where will you choose to settle down? In the plane hills between the shore and the rough mountains? Will you build a town for fishers near the fjord or a castle rising above the strange ancient ruins of pale rock? Shall your empire spread out from the warm forests around springcreek or from the cold hills of icy heights? Is a glorious city about to rise in stormsdeep on the smaller island of jormangundr or will you build secluded keep in the gorges around the cursed rock of drakkenstein? The choice will be yours, but you'd rather not expect this to be an easy mission, even though this land seems to be nothing but a unhabited island without any dangers except bears and trolls...

The landscape of the island is divided in 5 different regions. Down south you will find a warm lush forest, laying west of the fjord. On its eastern side is a small tundra-like land of hills surrounded by the slaughtertooth in the south, pale rock in the east. in the north are the necks rising, large and harsh mountains covering the northern part of the island. In the centre of these mountains you will find the icy heights laying at the foot of Mount Maruk, the highest mountain of Griffin's Land. The southern part of the mountains are not as deadly-cold as the icy heights and is scarred with claustrophobic gorges around drakkenstein and the Kargpass. The last region is another smaller island, jormangundr island with bizarre rock formations on its cliffs.
And then, there are the dungeons. Beautiful and dangerous, be careful exploring them because there might be the end of your journeys waiting just around the corner.
You might also watch your steps because you might find yourself falling into a pit into a dungeon before you even know what happened. Yeah, I made that happen. Now good luck, traveler!

Progress is running very well so far, there are almost no problems I couldn't handle. I'm done with landscaping, there are no areas left to be designed. The dungeons are completed as well, you can now enter every cave you find,
However, I still got great issues to handle creating Distance LOD, so right now you can only see around a hundred meters.
I'm awaiting your feedback, wishes and suggestions. Tell me if you like the landscape and the atmosphere and if you found any bugs. Everything will be recognized and answered asap as I keep working.

Current progress:
Heightmap (100%)
Detailed Landscape/Flora (100%)
Dungeons/Caves: 10 (100%)
Animal wildlife (100%)
New NPC's: 17

Recommended Mods:
-Tundra Defense (allows you to build a colony)
-Pocket Empire Builder (allows you to build a colony)
-RTS for skyrim (allows you to build a colony)
-Driveable Boats
-Frostfall
-Imp's More complex needs

Coming soon:
- finishing detailed landscape (done)
- quests (not in this episode)
- custom soundtrack
- LOD
aaaaand more eastereggs and riddles;)

All right, remember it's still WIP but if you want to have an influence on the future versions, try it out now and tell me what you like and what you wish to see soon.

! Need help creating the LOD for the island, any tips are appreciated!

You can get to the island by a ship laying at the harbor of windhelm. Walk on the deck and then northbound to start travelling. If you're on the ship near the island simply jump down on the boat at the left side of the ship to get to the island.
To get back to skyrim open your console and type: coc windhelm
If you enjoyed it, thumbs-up, fav and you're done. Spread the word! Thanks and have fun;)

ridiculously buggy i would not suggest at all... i :steamfacepalm:have over 300 hrs of game play and have had plenty of expirience with mods and this is by far the most incomplete buggiest mod i have encountered. i highly would not suggest. :steamfacepalm:

Bluunagi:

Now the vanilla game needs to be disabled and this mod expanded with tougher wildlife being encountered the further you go afield. I would like to see a land without all the overpowered weapons and spellls as well, maybe limit to iron bronze and steel weapons and only useful spells like healing. Foraging skills would be expanded and colony commerce added for later in the game to trade with the other realms. Ship building anyone? I haven't tried this mod out yet, but a native population of say the forsworn to fight and come to terms with or destroy too. I have waited so long for someone to make a mod or game like this. I have even written 4 books just to imagine it all in. In my books the Bluunagi were a race of barbaric tribes that ate hoctra mushrooms before each battle to make them fearless while swinging their two-handed axes.
