[CromulentVille] The multi-dimensional misadventures of Dr. Breen, Episode 0 (out of -7)

Behold my (not so) glorious entry to the CromulentVille challenge!
There were some things I would have liked to include (such as music), but I couldn’t add either because of inexperience with wiremod or because of time constraints.
Despite these setbacks, I did what I could to create the best save I could for everyone’s enjoyment.


The story:
“Am I in...wait, this isn’t Heaven! This isn’t Hell either! Could be purgatory...or perhaps not. Could I have survived the explosion? Well, this definitely isn’t the Combine Homeworld either or else I would be in the body of one those...best not to think about it, Breen. Might be a Combine outpost, the material looks the same. By why am I in the same room as regular citizens? I shouldn’t be here, I am (or was) the leader of Earth! And the pods look different. Too...human, I suppose. The Combine would never incorporate such comforts as windows.
Well, it doesn’t matter. It appears I have indeed survived, despite the interference of that wretched Dr. Freeman. But just where am I? I suppose the best course of action would be to look around this installation and find out just what is going on…”


(In short, everyone’s favorite Black Mesa administrator-turned global dictator-turned immortal punching bag for skilled and not so skilled Gmoders Wallace Breen somehow survived the destruction of the teleporter at the end of Half Life 2 and has jumped dimensions...or something. Now he just needs to find out what’s going on).

(And yes, I made the MC Breen. Just for the hell of it).




(What? You say it’s weird? THAT’S THE WHOLE BLOODY POINT OF THE CHALLENGE, YOU DOLT! Just thank your stars I didn’t make this about furries).


Also, quick warning that's been left at the very end for some reason. The doors outside the control room on the top floor/floor alpha might act up. However, I probably managed to fix it so it's nothing to worry about...hopefully.
