Vanilla on Empire Divided Map

Description
Hi Everyone

If you are like me you enjoyed the vanilla grand campaign quite a bit in Rome 2. The DLC Imperator Augustus and Empire Divided upgraded the campaign map that we know and love with several major improvements like:
- New province for Sicily with walled Capital.
- Walled Jerusalem.
- 15 New regions that enable new theaters of war.
- Expanded North Africa

A bunch of modders before me have tried to recreate the vanilla experience but so far the mods I have found today is either incomplete or adds a bunch of additional factions and stuff that ruins the vanilla campaign experience. With this mod I aim to change that. This re-imagining of the vanilla campaign include:
- All Factions recreated with regions and armies
- All Regions adjusted with proper culture and buildings.
- Victory Objectives translated to new map.
- Full diplomacy, treaties and relations copied over.
- Family Trees rebuild with minor tweaks. (faithful to the original campaign)
- All playable factions are available.
- Rebuild Auxilia Map.

The campaign is 4 turns per year.

Since the new map has a new layout especially in the east not every province and region will look exactly like the vanilla campaign. Distributing the 15 new settlements have been carried out with an eye for optimal balance and some original settlements have been re-distributed to make room for the new ones.

Furthermore I want to give back to the modding community, the startpos.esf file in this mod is 100% compatible with Vanilla Rome and works with a majority of mods. So feel free to copy it over to any mod you build with my full endorsement. Just remember to give me credit in your mod description as I have spend well over 300 hours and 2 months building this startpos.esf file from scratch.

Remember to leave a rating and feel free to ask questions or provide your feedback. I will keep the mod updated in case bugs or issues are found.

What is auxilary map here for ROME ?

Ok, prepare to heart attack then. I have started over a new game for about a half factions. What i found so far:
- Odrysian Kingdom, Arverni and Numidians have broken Family Trees. Numidia have no tree at all.
- Tylis navy admiral has no name at all. Its empty, but not sure, its may be localisation bug. But without mod in vanilla all ok with that.
- Axum faction leader have that funny portrait. I think you know this guy: https://imgur.com/a/68Ylkgg
- Saba faction capital (Marib) has no unique building Great Dam: https://www.honga.net/totalwar/rome2/building.php?l=en&v=rome2&f=rom_saba&b=dk_saba_marib_dam_1
Its undestroyable and unbuildable, so its nessesary to spawn it from the start.

recreating the grand campaign was a large undertaking so while it's unfortunate with these bugs I guess it was to be expected.

I will keep updating untill we achieve perfection.

Probably im going to be annoying, but Syracuse are starving now :steamsalty: Which makes them easy fish on the firsts turns.

Also you told Family Trees recreated, but Pergamon for example have totally different tree from the vanilla setup. Thats not a big problem, but if you Novaspook up for fixing this, i willl check another factions trees...

damn that fix seems far easier than replacing fully variantmeshes descriptions :o

@Adrien, the fix is not part of the mod yet. However you need to do the following:
1) Make a copy of agent_uniforms_tables
2) Find the 5 lines starting with dk_fem_illy_general_01 - 05
3) Replace the content of each line with the data from FemGen_Teuta line.

Problem solved :-)

Now all female generals will use her appearance. If you only replace 1 out of 5 there is a 20% chance.

what table is it ? i will download you mod to check it too anyway

if i can finally add teuta look in rotation, my dream will finally comes true

i succeed for litteraly all generals from all campaigns by simply replacing some default looks by the other one in variantmeshes, only teuta made crashes when doing so

that was the only character i cant add in battle unit too (as soldier)

Added the Teuta skin as a spawnable general and she spawns just fine during campaign.

turns out I was just a noob, the game will always use default DB values when generating the startpos.esf. Thats why it will never find character art from other campaigns or new ones I add. However you can modify the DB files and the game will use the new generals from turn 1 and forward.

The start generals can be corrected manually in PFM.

dont you think that simply placing copies in a different dirrectory + modify the links would be fine ?
a new interesting battery of tests will come xD the first who finds the solution will tell the other ^^

btw your mod is also an idea i digged a lot, so im all in too !
