A medium mining ship designed for open cast mining, either manually or with the PAM script. The Myxini variant is longer and wider than the original MK2 Quarry miner and features expanded cargo space, a larger ejection system and an additional script for monitoring cargo fill level and battery/hydrogen tank fill state.
Available in atmospheric, hydrogen and ion thrust variants. The Hydrogen version can be used on moons but is not recommended for planets.

6 downward facing drills
Fancy Status Displays
PAM autominer script
Stone ejection system

Power:
1 Large Battery
2 Large Hydrogen tanks
11 Small Hydrogen Tanks
2 Hydrogen Generators

Movement & Control:
1 cockpit
1 Remote Control
2 Gyroscopes
40 Small Thrusters

Thanks @Kagee!

@A Very Cute Snek, there should be a miner for you int he collection somewhere, I should have all thrust types, and the ones int eh "Kaari" series should work on and off planets

Works like a charm!

Whoops, misread, this is not for planets

Hey there, I'm trying to use this with PAM, but it seems like it cant fly on a full cargo hold, even on a low gravity planet like Mars

As for the ejection in motion PAM setting, I have had that problem too sometimes, I think it may be something to do with the position the miner was in when the pathing to the job position is stopped, although I can't say for sure, as I never asked the script author, and I usually process the stone back at base anyway.

Unfortunately sorters always pull from any connected inventory, even other ships/stations, which is useful for setting up loading/unloading stations for cargo drones, but not so much if the ejection system on a miner is left on.

As for the toolbar layouts, they are set up to be as close to standardized as possible across the entire 180 ship fleet, not just the miners. So thrusters, lights and connectors are always on toolbar 1, batteries, cameras, the antenna and whatever tools/weapons the ship has are on toolbar 2, PAM and hydrogen blocks are toolbar 3, SAM is on toolbar 4 etc.

I realize I could cram more functionality into fewer toolbars, but I prefer to standardize, as it means less accidental misclicks across the different ships in the fleet.

Also regarding PAM. Ejection->In-Motion. It doesn't actually get quite above the shaft, so it just drops the rocks back into the hole. I'm not sure if this is a sensor placement issue or PAM or me. Earth Moon

Firstly, fantastic design. Thanks!

If the ejectors are on, it spits out any stone from anything it's connected to. I'd have expected the ejectors only to remove stone from the vehicle even if it's connected to a base or large ship.

The toolbars could be set out better. The most used buttons should be on toolbar 1. Which is Thrusters on/off, lights on/off, Connector lock/unlock, Ejectors on/off, Drills on/off, Hydro tanks stockpile on/off. As it is, I have to dance between 3 toolbars for basic functions and the rest are rarely used.
