Trade Tweaks

My Banished Mods

Description
Trade values for some items changed to be more in line with the work required to obtain them. Also, now all traders buy anything, and at full price. They arrive slightly more frequently and much more reliably, especially at lower populations. General Goods Merchants now truly sell everything (added Livestock).

Tired of spamming Firewood because it is hands-down the best trade item to sell, then not being able to sell it at a fair price to the merchant who took 2 years to arrive? And what about Warm Coats being massively less profitable than Wool Coats, while the mining town with its Steel Tool 'exports' cry in the distance? This mod changes all of that in one fell swoop.

Compatibility & Recommendations
- This mod changes trader behavior (which is all in a single, large section of code) & values of some items. It will conflict with mods that change any of those things. It has the minimum possible footprint for what it does, so I'd recommend placing it higher in the case of a conflict, to override the values from the other mod.

- For balance purposes, this mod assumes vanilla values for the items it doesn't change.

- Pairs well with my Tavern and Honey Tweaks mod.

- One Stop Mining mod (or similar) recommended, which gives you a reliable & non-destructive source of raw materials.

Other Notes & Details
Here's a table with vanilla vs. modded values, and some notes on how to interpret the data. Enjoy.

- Numbers assume educated workers (they create more products per resource, usually double).

- Profit Ratio is net profit / cost of raw materials. (1.3 means 130% profit.)

- If you're bummed out about the new price of Firewood, you should know that I almost made it 1, but thought it would be too harsh for forest towns. Keep in mind you can still order Logs at 2 apiece, and turn them into Firewood (x4) with minimal work for a decent profit, even with uneducated workers (x3). Also, this means now you can buy some fuel on the cheap cheap if you ever need it for, you know, not freezing to death and stuff.

1 Log = 4 Firewood 1 Log + 1 Iron = 2 Iron Tool 1 Log + 1 Iron + 1 Coal = 2 Steel Tool 2 Wool = 2 Wool Coat 2 Leather = 2 Hide Coat 2 Wool + 2 Leather = 2 Warm Coat Item Value Value ProfitRatio Name Old New Old / New Firewood (x4) 4 2 7.0 / 3.0 Logs 2 = 2 Stone 7 4 Iron 5 = 5 Coal 6 5 Iron Tool (x2) 8 = 8 1.3 / 1.3 Steel Tool (x2) 10 16 0.5 / 1.7 Wool 5 4 Wool Coat 15 10 2.0 / 1.5 Leather 10 6 Hide Coat 15 = 15 0.5 / 1.5 Warm Coat 20 26 0.3 / 1.6

(Unchanged items are here for reference only. If an item has equals sign, or isn't on the table, it's unchanged i.e. this mod doesn't touch it.)
