SHACHIMARU ESPADA (DR44)

It is a mid-sized model of Shachimaru automobile, a Japanese fictional automobile manufacturer.

"BLADE RIDER CONCEPT" was announced at the Tokyo Motor Show one year, and it was actually commercialized as a design study.


Similar to the BMW 6 SERIES GRAN COUPE (GXX), the platform adopts the SHACHIMARU-STERN-D Platform and is equipped with driving performance, environmental performance, power and safety performance comparable to European cars.

By the way, SHACHIMARU-STERN-D Platform is adopted from this ESPADA in the first place.

The engine is equipped with a Shachimaru V-type 6-cylinder CMDR-648 type Manta-Dragon engine, and while achieving 399ps, the fuel economy on average for this model is 24.0km / l, which is amazing in the F segment.

It is produced at the Chita Handa Factory in Shachimaru and exported to the world market through the Port of Nagoya.


Actually, this model was once extinguished in the form of replacing Intrigue when Shachimaru was a subsidiary of US General Motors, and it was discussed internally whether it could be restored.
However, as the name of Intrigue became unusable due to trademark rights after being transferred to the BMW Group, the name of this ESPADA has been restored.

Currently, this model is the 11th generation in total (including Intrigue) since the first generation that appeared in 1967.
