Description
Making good-looking and functional brake lights in stormworks has always been a struggle, but not anymore with my new Brake Light controller. The controller runs off the input from a connected pilot or driver seat, with a 1 to -1 axis. Pretty much, rather than having to use threshold gates or whatever which don't take into account the actual player pressing the button, this uses a delta and can determine the change in output while the player is pressing it, or holding it at maximum. So this means that as long as the player is pressing the downward function (for example the S key) the brake will be on, but as soon as the player releases it, the brake will turn off. It has two output modes. The first is a basic on/off for whether or not the brake is pressed and can be useful for actually connecting a braking system, while the second is for RGB inputs and will adjust the brake light brightness based on whether or not it is turned on. It also has an input for the tail lights to determine whether or not the lights are actually on and then it will turn on as long as that input is on. It outputs this RGB as a composite.
