Welcome to the Left 4 Dead 2 Pax Pack
Version 1.2

During the year between Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, the at-the-time in-developement Left 4 Dead 2 went through numerous changes with various tweaks. As our, the L4D2 Beta Team, other project shows with a faithful E3 build of the game, we hope to achieve the same feeling with this pack which tries to faithfully recreate the PAX '09 experience. We hope we can bring you all the closest experience you'll get to that era. Thank you all for visiting the mod.

[Important Information for Playing:]
  • This pack is meant to be played on Dark Carnival, specifically the first two levels of it. That is where the PAX Gameplay took place.
  • This pack should work on most gamemodes; however, for the most authentic experience, play Campaign mode on a Local Server so that the scripts are enabled.
  • This pack is not meant for any gamemode that may heavily alter the base campaign such as versus or survival; play those at your own risk.
  • This does not include any media-related files such as backgrounds, upsell trailer, or loading screens. Those can be installed separately.

[Credential List:]
All authors of mods in the pack should be credited properly, these credits can be found in the discussions tab of the mod. If your mod is in the pack, and you are not credited, please let us know. We will fix it. If your mod is in the pack, and you don't want it to be, please contact us and we shall either see what we can negotiate or remove it entirely.

I had hopes to keep it going, but after a long hiatus and a L4D/PC burnout, I have no intentions of continuing it at this moment. If the community or Beta Group wanted to continue updating it, I wouldn’t be opposed to it; however, I myself have no intentions of returning at the moment.
