Description
****I decided to delete the old version of this map and reupload to upgrade to Feare's amazing new set of US Roads and Highways. Also, needed to address a few map issues that I'd never troubleshot before. Those are fixed now. Probably... All that led me to decide to take down the previous map and post a fresh version.****

For those that would like to play but need to keep required items low, a lite version of this map can be found here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2105906695

"...Where the waving wheat can sure smell sweet
When the wind comes right behind the rain..."

Nestled in the heart of the Southern Plains, this sleepy crossroads is poised to become an industrial and agricultural powerhouse. Your city stands on the transition from the forests of the East to the grasslands of the West. Can you, as Mayor, oversee the growth of your city into a regional capital?

Howdy! And welcome to my second map. Waving Wheat is a Temperate prairie-themed map inspired heavily by my home state of Oklahoma. This map is not a reproduction but rather a homage to my home city and the surrounding region. As such, I've squeezed a couple more regional features into the map than would otherwise be possible.

The layout of the road networks very loosely resembles Oklahoma City. I've replicated a few of the interchanges with a little creative license. Geographic elements like the small mountains and mesas have been moved closer than they would to the city. I even took a crack at replicating a lake. The rivers flow a bit wider and stronger than in real life as well.

Map Features Include:

Custom Hand-Drawn Interchanges Based on Real Life Locations
Functioning Wind Farms with Power Lines to the Start Square
Custom Bridges
Custom Worked Terrain
Gentle Rolling Prairie Terrain
Old Weathered Mountains
Mesas
Plenty of Road, Rail, and Air Connectivity
Strong Start Square River Flow

A bit heavier on assets than what I was intending, but in the end, I think it was worth it.

Network Skins 2 strongly recommended. I have used NS2 to prevent streetlight clipping.

Recommended Theme/LUT Settings:

I highly recommend the Straycats Territory - Homecoming Theme by Raffa.

To get your game play to match the thumbnails, do the following:

Open Daylight Classic > Select All to Classic > Select All to After Dark.

Select Relight Cool as you LUT.

I believe you can have a fun game no matter what style you play from Vanilla Rules to 81 Tiles. You have water flow, electricity, and rail connections already setup in the start square. You can build a sprawling metropolis or a series of sleepy farm town. If you want nearly 100% Vanilla with the exception of a few trees and map theme, link to the Lite version is above.

If you have any feedback, find and glitches, or problems, let me know. I'll try to fix them before moving on to my next map. Also, I'd like to know what works and doesn't work, if I uploaded any wrong setting or requirements, etc.

This map is similar to homage

This is probably my favorite map of all time but I just tried to load up a new game on here and I got a weird almost blank screen with a few sprites on it. My best guess would be the 81 tiles required here not being the new one but I've got no idea :(

@iamthepeaceman, I believe the issue is the Prop Snapping mod. Try turning it off or unsubbing from it.

I have tried both maps and keep getting the same results. When I load and get into the game I start looking around and all the rock props are floating above the ground. Also I dont see all the props you put in to detail the riverbanks or the light props you placed around the intersections. Nor do I find any barrel barricades that are around the highway. I watched the What Map video by Bon Bon to see if he had the same issue and his map was fine. Any idea why this could be happening. If you have any suggestions I will certainly try them as I would love to try this map. Thank You

beautiful map. I love it. there were some cars at one of the interchanges (stretched section of roads) acting like dolphins though. it made me laugh. they were driving down into the stretched section and then coming up and doing a flip and then continuing on they merry way. Can't remember what intersection it was but it was funny. I really want to build on this. I love the wide river flow, the beautiful night lit rail bridges, The intersections are amazing. looks easy like the mid west! Bravo Bravo

Thanks for the one click collection, so many map creators don't include anything like this and it becomes a drag to download everything needed, you're a true hero.

Nice. Wish it was as detailed as this one though. I'll probably use it sometime in the future. Thanks.
