Description
Lords :
They now get an extra 21 skill points, for a total of 60. They get 3 at level 2, and then 1 extra point every 2 levels (4, 6 and so on until 40). You still have choices to make, but it helps crafting a bit more powerful lords (overall fitting the lore a bit more without having them wiping out entire armies), or have them take on different roles. The 3 points at level 2 also help bridge the gap between low level and high level lords.

Heroes :
They just get a second skill point at level 2 (so 40 in total). At level 40 you can have almost everything already and I still want the player to have choices to make). This also helps bridging a (tiny) bit the gap between low level and high level heroes.

Units :
Increased effect of experience : more melee attack, defence, leadership and accuracy / reload time reduction for veterans units. Also this is an increase on vanilla, but only slightly so the game remains balanced.
Massive increase of experience thresholds to unlock next levels.

Regiments of Renown might become less powerful than a rank 9 counterpart, but have other advantages (instant recruitement, recruitable every 10 turns, special abilities...). They no longer are the elite of the elite, and the ultimate version of each unit type, but a really good alternative with their own niche role.

Getting a unit to rank 9 will be harder, longer, but keeping it alive will be rewarding, and experience skills or buildings are now quite useful. Also, training a unit right now or waiting a few turns for an XP tech to finish is now a real choice.

Should be compatible with everything.

This is mostly crafted for my taste, but I will probably have to balance it a bit more in the long run so feedback is appreciated. I think the lord and heroes part is OK, I might lower the attribute bonus increased by XP for units if that is too powerful, and lower the thresholds to a middle ground not to make skills and buildings too much of an asset in comparison to actually fighting.

Any way to make units ranks more special? That you can give them all 3 ranks a cool perk? Or a Stat boost or anything like that? :D
