Description
It is with my extreme pleasure that I am able to present to you, a Beta Finale! That means some wonderful things and here they are:

The map is entirely noded for outdoors
Optimized (yeah again, even more so)
And here are some new and existing features of this version:



NEW STUFF as of 6/2/2020:

- NPC Nodes

-new "vip" club room in the back of the bar

- re-added the very first building ever made on the first version of this map over 12 years ago!

- New Beach front club

- All roads now connect and will lead you around the entire map, no dead ends. (new roads)

- The little fenced off section of hallway from the original underground area (from the original map) is now reopened and has the original way out (though instead of a breakable section of ground, it is now a sliding door).

- Church now has an interior

- Minor texture changes and fixes including but not limited to; Water, building walls, (glass for some reason that i did not choose), interiors.

- Area specific soundscape additions and fixes

- New final touch details in many areas ie; optimization, added visual detail, added or fixed functions etc.

- Chopped some of the apartment/office buildings in half to take up less space when compiled

- lowered skybox for better frame rate and size when compiled

- there are now 3 areas to cross the river

- more parking available

- firehouse in old section of map removed, firehouse next to government building is now only one

- new house and road behind/ next to bar

- scrap yard added

- out of place mansion is now an actual home

- And the moment you have all been waiting for; content is now packed into the map, you wont see any more errors (let me know if you do).

- Texture errors are fixed (ones I was aware of)

As of 8/13:

- 56 new apartments/hotel rooms/offices (new total of 84)
- Massive towers added, one with an Easter egg entrance and Easter eggs inside
- some texture fixes and material changes
- parking lots for buildings without one nearby
- clinic/hospital has custom beds now instead of the creepy chair
- Fire stations now have a way inside
- more detail in skybox


8/13: Nodes have not been forgotten, they will be done. That being said requests on this map for next update are welcome, it is unlikely they will be added, but if they are and the idea was from you I will mention you in the description.

8/24: Request for bank received, request for big building lobby received.

10/13/19: Request for warehouse, and additional shops received.

2/27/2020: Have not forgotten or given up for those that may wonder.

Please leave any requests for buildings or properties in the comments section of the newest map version prior to 9/1/19 and I will make most of if not all reasonable additions.

3/10/2020: Finally got hammer working again; Map updates include-

Functional start for the warehouse
Ally behind homes
More shrubbery
Big building lobby
Mechanic garage attached to one of the gas stations
Texture fixes
Teleport destination changes
improved pool area
sidewalk cutouts where needed for parking lots
more parking lot space for several properties
start of (not currently functional) map nodes
more space behind the clinic
light hanging in penthouse issue fixed
other small errors and glitches fixed


3/16/2020: I think I finally have come to a point of satisfaction and am able to take a short break from mapping. Here are the new and updated things.

Finished Warehouse
Fixed warehouse doors
finished lobby elevator to penthouse
added elevator return inside penthouse
fixed all garage door sounds
made pool deck larger added tables
created working traffic lights (timer is a bit quick but.. its a small town.. youll be fine.)
fixed other small texture glitches
added detail around map and inside
added additional garage in ally behind homes
fixed some map props that were not loading
changed spawn location


4/17/2020:

Updates include but may not be limited to;


Lowered skybox and chopped buildings
more plants per fan request
more enterable buildings per fan request
added fog
many texture fixes
some easter eggs
more parking per fan request
nicer homes per request
less open space per request
more optimization

@Dornek I appreciate the feedback, and I am aware. Until the map is at its absolute final version I dont aim to put all my focus on anything that could be undone through further additions, The optimization and performance will likely be some of the last things to be brought up to finished standard. However for what its worth we have run a 12 person game on it for hours and had no serious issues from any player, so I can at least say its stable enough for use :P Thanks again for reaching out.

Just so it's on here for current or new people, the next version of the map is still being worked on, had to go back and redo a lot of stuff, but as a teaser.. you can expect a subway system among other things :P

Thanks, I actually had them as plane glass, but the most recent Complie decided that wasnt happening, glass is on my list, thanks :D

Im not having texture "issues". Some building textures just dont really make sense. (like the windows dont make sense)

There are some weird texture placements and it lags a lot in cerain spots. Other than that, its good.

Thank you for the feedback @Merlin it actually is meant for darkrp, though the original version of this map was started near 14 years ago (maybe more) and was MUCH smaller, and since has snowballed into this.

There is a PD, two in fact, one we use as a government building, and the smaller for PD, its a nostalgia building from the first edition of the map so long ago. Also there are several gas stations. A bank will be coming, a casino is on the list as well. Mines will not be added.

The repeat buildings: Some will remain, some are placeholders for upcoming additions, if you haven't yet, check out my workshop, you can find many past versions of the map to see how things could be expected to progress. Reusing already fabbed buildings is a common thing for map makers, most make more changes so the building is less noticeable than how I work. But I dont really care :P

It's an okay map, could be a lot better, not really sure if this map is meant for some specific gamemode but it's not a good map for DarkRP that's for sure.

Missing some vital buildings and areas like a PD, Bank, Mines, Gas Station & Casino.

You also used some of the buildings more than once which is a bummer in my opinion.

I did really like that underground area with the unique elevator.
