Blessed Mercenaries of the Waste

Description
NEW! Faction: The Wardens of the Isilir
The Isil are dedicated to the protection of those in need in the wilderness, you may have a chance of encountering Mercenary Isil companies traversing the landscape. Due to the race being an uncommon sight, they do not make up a bulk of their military order. I've heard they call The Hub their second home.

NEW! Human sub-race The Isil
You will be encouraged to focus more on ranged combat, with some assurance that you'll have abilities, that some consider to be... unnatural. Their culture of being secluded for a long time has left them paler, and weary of close encounters. Their affinity for distancing has allowed them to develop a keen eye for hunting all sorts of beasts of the waste, their priority for self-preservation has made them adept at defending themselves, although confidence to lash-out is lacking.

There are 6 starts:
1) Crossbow Mercenary a) Blessed Crossbow Mercenary b) Crossbow Mercenary (The Hub)
2) Crossbow Mercenaries a) Blessed Crossbow Mercenaries b) Crossbow Mercenaries (The Hub)

The "blessed" starts have max-tier gear (e.g Meitou, cross etc.), average combat skills. and an exorbitant amount of Cats to propel you into preparing for end-game Kenshi, whatever that is depending on your mods installed.

The standard non-"blessed" starts have 6000 Cats, and standard equipment to start with. The "Mercenaries" starts have a squad size of 10, unlike the "Mercenary" start which is just 1.

The mercenary companies come with a Hauler equipped with a Trade Backpack and some building materials.

The starts listed with "The Hub", will spawn you in that location, personally used for testing the new roaming squads and residents at The Hub, but now accessible to you all if you wish to start there.

The squads in all versions spawn in Squin, they come equipped with the NEW "Nagamaki Light", NEW "Warden Crossbows Mk I", a few stacks of Regular Bolts, Thieves Backpacks, and apparel which I thought ranged mercenaries would wear in Kenshi, nothing too heavy, but light enough to remain mobile. I would not be too enthusiastic going into melee.

The focus for gameplay is to engage primarily at range. It's best to have mods installed that encourage merchant escort contracts and similar concepts, to engage in the idea of being mercenaries for hire. Goes especially well with increased spawns and fogmen invasions, since it will keep you engaged in combat more frequently.

Some recommended mods:

Roadmap for this mod:
  1. Add ranged squads as either hireable mercenaries for recruitment, or for temporary settlement defense (75% Complete, squads added, recruitable, but the dialogue isn't personalised for their faction yet)
Idea to have most spawn as the Isilir, so they are weaker in melee than their world spawn counterparts (COMPLETE)
  2. Update The Isil model, to be more reminiscent of Elf archetypes, but still be tasteful to the aesthetic of Kenshi
  3. Introduce scattered lore through whatever means, to further immerse this mod into the world of Kenshi
  4. Contemplating removing the option for facial hair for the Isil, to separate them from other human races, to add to their intended for meant-to-be "majestically mobile" appearance.
  5. Looking at introducing a melee weapon suited to the style of The Isilir, along with a potential new crossbow variant to further immerse the race in the world of Kenshi and set it apart.
