M1A1 — основной боевой танк США. Представляет из себя модификацию M1 Abrams с установленной 120-мм гладкоствольной пушкой M256. Танк серийно выпускался с 1985 по 1992 год. Из-за увеличения калибра орудия боекомплект был сокращен до 40 снарядов. Дополнительно было усилено бронирование лба корпуса, установлена новая коллективная система защиты от оружия массового поражения со встроенным кондиционером. Танк применялся во многих военных конфликтах, таких как война в Персидском заливе и Вооружённый конфликт на севере Ирака в 2014.


M1A1 - US main battle tank. It is a modification of the M1 Abrams with the installed M256 120 mm smoothbore gun. The tank was mass-produced from 1985 to 1992. Due to the increase in the caliber of the guns, the ammunition was reduced to 40 shells.
