Longer Range Basic Infantry (Depreciated)

Description
**No longer works. If I ever get time i will try to update it.**

Extends the range of the basic minigunner infantry to the same as the chaingun (e.g. APC, Light Scout etc).

Will work in both single and skirmish (not sure about multiplayer). AI will be aware of the changes so it doesn't unbalance anything on that side of things.

I created this mod because I always felt the standard infantry were a bit myopic on the battlefield and were always out ranged by the rocket launcher guys.javascript:ValidateForm()

@Lach-Anae Yes, I will updated it as soon as I can. My other mod, which I've just updated, also has the extended ranges built in to it as well as new units etc

Follow this guide - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2121564366

It takes you through the extra bits of visual studio you need to install to get it all working. It's what I followed at first.

Yeah, I had a look at the source code, but wasn't able to compile it - a lot of errors.

Mods does not work in multiplayer, it can't be enabled, period. It's because the multiplayer server tries to act like it's mandating a leaderboards of sort.

Have you had a look at the source code? It should be in CnCRemastered/SOURCECODE folder. You can edit it with visual studio (quite a few tutorials in the guides section)

Weapon ranges are in the CONST.CPP file.

@Unhinged
It shouldn't cause problems as the Commando still significantly out ranges all other infantry. but there will be less time to pick them off if they are running towards you.

How did you changes the range values?
There's no rules.ini file so you'd have to fix them in data files... but I tried something similar and it doesn't work, as if there CRC sum check or something.

Awesome now just Extend Commando range as well. And NOD artillery needs a range boost.
