DRV Delivery and Rescue Vessel (Advanced Sinking)

Description
DRV

The DRV Delivery and Recovery Vessel is an advanced ship designed to withstand the most harsh and severe conditions found in the Stormworks Universe. Equipped with full Arctic capability, it can be used in any situation you may find yourself in. At the time of writing, the major update with first person equipment and mission scripting is in development. The DRV is designed with these upcoming missions in mind, such as multiple winches, large cargo cranes and Escape Capsules when the situation gets sticky. Furthermore, all the DRV’s incredibly versatile features can be controlled from the climate-controlled bridge.

BRIDGE

The state-of-the-art bridge houses all the controls for a remote start-up procedure, so that when a quick getaway is needed, a long trip to the engine rooms isn’t necessary. The controls for the heavy-lift crane is also housed in the rear-left control station, with self-explanatory switches. To the right is the Monitoring Station where fuel and expedition time can be viewed, plus lighting and fog system controls, with the subtle scuttle feature under a safely locked button cover. Upfront is the Main Control Deck where radar, depth, location and temperature are housed, along with multiple analog dials to monitor other aspects of the Vessel. The bridge is also designed with panoramic views in mind.

INTERIOR

The DRV also comes equipped with a mess hall, as do all Box Works ships, with full interior, and other rooms such as kitchens, lavatories, bunks and med-bays. The DRV also comes with a spacious cargo area, where all your packages and freights can be moved with ease.

SINKING

An advanced sinking sequence is present on the DRV. With the Subtle Scuttle feature located at the Monitor Station in the bridge, an enjoyable and realistic sink can be achieved. The sink feature produces a sink much like the Titanic, where the rear will rise into the air. As you frantically try to collect up as many NPCs as possible, the bow will start to drop, increasing tension but still allowing you time to escape to the rear lifeboats. The lifeboats automatically release upon sitting down in the pilot seat and are equipped with flares and a motor. The lifeboats have a two-stage entry. First, open the top hatch, closing it behind you. Then open the lower door and enter the cabin. This prevents water flooding the capsule, causing it to sink on release. The lights on the DRV will also lose power at the time of sinking, causing a cold feeling as you are left in the dark with your vessel plunging to the ocean floor.

The DRV is the second in the Recon line of ships from Box Works creations. I hope you enjoy using it as a well-equipped daily driver.

spawned it in twice from 2 different spots. Both times the forward galley area spawned filled with water. it doesn't continue leaking afterwards, just the initial water. Only issue is there aren't any bilge pumps. Especially to have it be survivable for all weather conditions, it really could use some pumps. Only other minor comment would be it could do with some bow thrusters to help with tight maneuvering.
I love the lighting though, its a very pretty ship! All of the electronics seemed to work well for me. The scuttle wasn't so subtle for me but it was already pretty full of water from my previous issue haha.
