Report a translation problem
I used Template 2, with template 1 over-top it to act as a guide. Template 2 contains swatches and color panels for every square inch of the engine. Template 1 shows you were the parts of the engine are mapped too.
I recommend using an image editor that has a layer function (I use GIMP personally, it's like a freeware photoshop). Template 1 is transparent so you can put it over Template 2 as a layer. When you do that, template 1 shows you were all the detail parts are so you don't have to do trial-and-error guesswork. Using this method, I painted these engines in about an hour. You just hide or delete Template 1 before you save the texture.
