The Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser, or simply the Dreadnaught, was a type of capital ship built for planetary occupation and space combat used by the Galactic Republic, Galactic Empire, New Republic, local governments, and various other organizations. It was one of the most ubiquitous ship designs in all of the galaxy.

The keel of the Dreadnaught-class ran nearly 600 meters with the bow overlapping to produce a clamshell-like appearance. Each vessel had a cluster of weapons blisters spread across the hull. The ship was designated a heavy cruiser in standard classification and was considered a downscaled warship when compared to the ship-designs from the Core. You may have to change the snapping size for the grid to be smaller or maybe the turret is too big.

Just want to say this is my favorite ship to use and I probably spend about 90% of the game staring at this particular one as I'm playing. Appreciate all the effort you put into it.

Too bad. I used it on some raids recently. It certainly is useful as a slower moving fortress.
Certainly feels like a dreadnought.
Looking forward to the rework.

@Theeaussieguy. Thanks a lot for updating it. This ship got broken over the updates so it's kinda unusable atm. I've been trying to update most of my ships past 2.0 so hopefully i can to this one soon to replace the broken one.

Great, except there is no crew compartment. I converted the cargo hold into one.
Much better/useful.

@Rys: Maybe. I just used the ship today. I got around on converting some of the framework to crew quarters in the nose of the ship. Absolutely kills.
For a dreadnought characteristically slow in movement, though.
