Universal Carrier

The Universal carrier was a WW2 british utility vehicle used for a variety of purposes by nearly all allied forces. it was suitable for the the role of troop carrier, gun platform, transport vehicle and light artillery tractor as well any other roles the soldiers using it could think up. It was most commonly equipped with either an M2 browning, Vickers .50cal or Vickers .303 machine gun on the top and a Bren lmg next to the driver. The vehicle was a precursor to modern APCs which started to appear after the war, combining very light armour with a low cost and adaptable to many roles.

With so many built it is the most produced tracked vehicle of all time.
