Short Sunderland Flying Boat [RAF]

Description
The Sunderland flying boat was one of the most widely used flying boats of the 2nd World War serving in the air forces of many allied air wings. They found primary use as long range patrol and reconnaissance aircraft. RAF Sunderlands also scored several U-boat kills. After the war Sunderlands remained in service seeing action in the Korean war and remained operational in the Civil sector (where they were known as the Short Sandringham) for many years after until the last one was retired in 1974.

Features
-Wings Fold to fit in the dock at the Creative Island
-Detailed interior and cockpit pretty close to the real aircraft
-Quite easy to fly and land (just throttle down)

Issues
-Can be a little finicky to take off (I find getting increasing the collective quickly - with the engines rotated-and pitching fully up works most consistently.
-Sits lower in the water than it should so some of the doors on the real aircraft have been omitted to save weight.

The default prop pitch is supposed to be neutral so that you can vary the amount of thrust provided by the props (up/down keys) without having to throttle the engines up and down. As to not taking off it will you just have to be a bit careful at first. I found that rapidly increasing the prop pitch (up/down) with the props pitched up will get it into the air just fine. It is a little finicky but not difficult at all after a few tries.

Wow this useless thing, it doesn't get even close to enough speed for takeoff.

I have found the issue: Your default prop pitch is set to neutral, and yes, i was sitting in the left seat. I'm not an idiot. Fixing is simple, go to select --> props --> and the option is right there.

I did experiment with them but as it works without them (if you're carefull) I preferred keeping the aesthetics cleaner than having some massive rudders at the front

Adding some control fins or rudders to the front would help not to dive in to underwater.

I can understand why it might be slightly confusing as i forgot to label up which seat was the default (e.g. Pilot and Co-Pilot which I can fix easily enough)
