Jozef's Voice Mods for Red Alert

Description
Changes the English version unit voices of the Soviets into Russian ones from Blitzkrieg. This changes only the voices of units with seperate voice files (so engineers and technicians will still speak English). I've also edited the audio files to make them sound as much vanilla-like as possible.

I've added these as remastered voices, so to hear the European voices, you have to turn on remastered voices in the options.

This mod doesn't use a dll file, meaning it should be compatible with any mod that doesn't change the same English unit voice files of Red Alert.

Here are some audio demos: Vehicle 1[voca.ro], Soldier 1[voca.ro], Vehicle 2[voca.ro] and Soldier 2[voca.ro].

This mod can be combined with my other, Allied, voice mods: Voices of Europe (combination of German, French and Spanish voices), Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit (German) and La République nous appelle! (French).

Also check out my realistic faction colour mods in my Realistic Faction Colours Collection.

Also available as a download from ModDB.

Sorry, I wasn't able to mention this last night, I did try running only your mod and it ran with no crashing.

However, if I run it with this mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2194215017&tscn=1597235375

It crashes.

Did you run the game with just my mod enabled? With just this mod enabled, as well as in combination with my Voices of Europe voice mod and a colour mod, I encountered no issues.

I did encounter crashes with the above combination along with the Attack Helicopter rename mod. I can't really explain that at the moment, to be honest... It just happened with both this and the European sound mod enabled, along with a colour mod. Take any one or the attack helicopter mod out of the equation, and the game runs fine. I'll see if I can figure it out.

Hi Jozef, I think the recent patch broke compatibility with your mod. My game crashes when I try to play with it activated.

Regarding the Engineer, I still feel creeped out by RA1 Engineer's voice, still can't get used to it from the previous old game until now, I need to replace that, best get the RA2 Soviet version instead. Thankfully you did it for the Allied side with a Spanish voice. Sorry, I just bought the game recently, couldn't tell how the Spanish version went.

PS : If you can pull it off for Tiberian Dawn, I don't mind Nod gets a CABAL voiceover just for the fun of it (The Lore said he's not existed yet, I know)

I then thought it would be the best of both worlds to include my voice files as classic ones, because that would mean you get the remastered voice files of my mod in classic mode, and the remastered original voice files in remastered mode. What I didn't think of, however, was that my mod doesn't replace every voice file used by the game (all the EVA voices, for example); so while using my mod, you would get classic instead of remastered EVA voices.

I now think this is an altogether bad solution, because of course I want the best quality audio to be used when playing with my mod. This is why I made this mod's voice files (which are generally remastered, though the Russian ones aren't from Red Alert at all) be listed as remastered, rather than classic.

In the options you can select between two sets of voice files: one set consists of simply the files from the old games (classic), and one set has been remastered.

For my Voices of Europe mod, I used the remastered voice files from the French and German versions of this game. I then figured that, because you can select between classic and remastered voices in the options, this would mean you can easily select between the original, English, voice files of the game and the voice files included in my mod.

Ok. I’m kinda stupid right now, and should read again the description when I get better. But anyway, can you explain in a fool-proof manner why you changed them from being listed as the original voices to the remastered voices?

So the english voices (released with the remaster) we will hear would be only from the 90’s version?

Please note, I have changed the voice file names to be listed as remastered instead of classic, so you will have to switch over to make this mod work.

My reason for putting them among the classic voice files originally was that you could easily switch over between remastered original and remastered (in case of the European mod) German/French voices, but this meant that the non-replaced audio files would be of worse quality, as they're not remastered. That seemed like a bad solution, so I changed this.

got it, all 3 of your mods, including the colour pack work perfect and they really do add realism to the game, very well done friend.
