[Old] Hat Kid Reloaded (DST)

Having signed another one of The Snatchers contracts, and forgetting the read the fine print, Hat Kid found herself entering the constant. Equipped with her hats, and her trusty umbrella, play as Hat Kid in Don't Starve Together!

3.0 is gearing up for a release, check the comments for access to the beta! Development is active as of May 13th 2021

- Hat Kid's Sanity Aura has been reworked. It now has a much larger radius, covering most of Hat Kid's screen at all times, but is restores much less sanity. (20 per minute)
- Hat Kid's Sanity Aura is reduced to 50% of it's rate when she is below 50% sanity.
- Hat Kid's Sanity Aura is disabled when she is below 15% sanity.
- Hat Kid's Sanity Aura is doubled in sanity rate when she is sleeping.
- Changed Hat Kid's character select quote again.
- Hat Kid's character size has been boosted to 85% from 80%, making her easier to click by other players.
- Hat Kid's base speed has been reduced to 135% from 150%. This will be partly offset due to the character size increase, which increases speed by somewhere around 10%, however it is still a nerf.
- Hat Kid is now the only character allowed to use any of her hats, though I will only be applying this rule to the hats I rework, as well as the sprint hat and Kid's Hat. This means the other hats are still usable by other sfor the time being.
- The Sprint Hat now drains 1.75x hunger (from 1.6x) by default.
- Added mod config options to control the size and sanity rate of the new sanity aura.
- The Kid's Hat is now crafted out of 4 Beefalo Wool, and 2 Gold. Since other's can nolonger wear it, this is here to make it less expensive to recover your base hat in case of a fire or something else that loses you the hat.
- Updated about 100 of Hat Kid's speech lines to be unique.
- Fixed a bug were the Brewing Hat and Ice Hat could be crafted without prototyping.
- Fixed a bug were the Dweller Mask and Time Stop Hat could be crafted with a Prestihatitator.





1. A Yarn system to craft hat's, similar to how the actual game handles hat crafting.
I'm not gonna go with this concept, there isn't really a viable way to implement it, and I like the idea of using certain crafting materials as opposed to one standardized thing.

2. Balance Hat Kid's sanity aura, and passive sanity loss
Done, her Sanity Aura is now a little less than a Tam, and her passive sanity loss was fine to begin with.

3. Rework Ice Hat and Dweller Mask to be unique and not just cheaper versions of amulets.

4. Custom voice for Hat Kid.
I can do this in theory, I just have no idea's for what it should sound like.

5. Fix shadow creature damage buff on Hat Kid.
This was cool in concept, but it nerfed the character too hard unless you change it to a negligible value

6. Redo this whole steam community page to be... better

7. Add more preview videos/pictures to this workshop page.

8. Make original dialogue for Hat Kid. (15%/100%)

9. Badge system using ammo slots on hats

10. Brewing Hat without using a Kid's Potion. Ideally, I want it to be a seperate keybind to throw a potion independant of your hand slot.

Thanks to Kzisor for help with the Key Handler, without his help, you'd be able to use abilities with the chat box or console open, which isn't good.
