Zoological Trader Caravans

Description
Adds zoological trader caravans!

Buying and selling all animals!
(Like shepherds but with more than just sheep, or like Shaman Merchants, ye! Like that! But now buying/selling more (kinds) of animals!)
(Note: Doesn't add new animals, but does add a trading caravan that buys/sells animals/creatures vanilla traders deem too "wild" to buy/sell. (Like deer for example.))
Automatically added to all factions (that already have trading capabilities), vanilla and modded!

Development & Updating
╔ Unfortunately my interests/amount-of-energy-available have changed,
╠ I'll try to do compatiblity updates, but they won't be top-priority.
╠ This doesn't mean the mod is dead, just that it's looking for new management.
╚ If you're interested, please get in touch with me (Steam comments or Gitlab issues).

Sales pitch:
Tired of having to feed that herd of deer you managed to tame, hoping to sell them one day?
Only to find out no trader or caravaneer wants to buy them because they deem them "too wild"?
Does your tribe not (yet) have access to electricity to haggle with some Orbital Zoological Traders?
Or perhaps living in a desert, on a planet with a protective shield, hindering orbital trade, but really needing that polar bear for your zoo?

Well, look no further!
Introducing Zoological Trader Caravans! Now you can sell even the wildest animals! (And buy some too!)

Q & A:
Q: Do I have to start a new save to utilize this mod?
A: Nope!

Q: Can I disable/delete this mod mid-game?
A: Yes, just make sure you don't have any Zoological Trader Caravans present on maps, then all should be fine.

Q: How do I use it?
A: Install it, and then just wait for one to arrive from a friendly faction!

Q: Load order?
A: Doesn't matter!

Q: Do animals from other mods also work?
A: If they fall in the vanilla categories (Common, Farm, Pet, Uncommon, Fighter, Exotic, or Insect), then yes!

Q: A faction I'm playing with now also has zoologic trader caravans, but I don't like this!
A: If you think it doesn't makes sense for that faction to have it, for anybody, yell at me in the comments. If you want it disabled just for you, go to "RimWorld/Mods/ZoologicalTraderCaravans/1.1/Patches/" or "SteamApps/workshop/content/294100/2148529316/1.1/Patches/" and the file there holds instructions.

Notes:
  • I don't have the Royalty DLC (yet), so if that adds Royal traders (I don't know, as I don't have it), they may never be Zoologic, or perhaps they might, I don't know, I don't have it and thus can't say.
  • Currently works with the vanilla (non-DLC) factions.
  • Automatically adds the trader to all factions (that can trade with the player), vanilla & mod-added!
So if you play with a mod that adds a new faction, and that faction can trade with the player, then zoological traders should show up from them too!
(Due to this the traders might show up from a faction from who it'd not make sense (for example "The Big Bad Evil Worldeaters"-faction (though if they don't trade with the player, they won't show up from them.)) But in this case, please do notify me in the comments. There are probably less factions that it should be removed from, than it should be added to, or at least that is my hope/reasoning.)
  • If you find that the traders are understocked / overstocked / missing-stuff-which-you-think-would-make-sense-for-them-to-have, please yell at me and I'll try and look into it!
  • Known bug: Pack animals brought along for sale might unintentionally end up carrying items, and thereby not be available for sale. (The animals that is, the items are very much for sale.) This is due to vanilla mechanics, and I may or may not look into fixing this at a later point.
  • Intentional Bug/Feature: Traders do not take into account if their animals can survive in your biome/environment, this way you can get more exotic animals. But may (in some cases) make them decide to leave due to their animals developing temperature related health issues (or in severe cases might even make then angry at you if an animal of theirs drops as a result of this).
(Let's pretend the lore here is that they do have safe cages/habitats for the animals, which they use to transport them around to/from your map, but because they want to sell them, they let them out, as this'll let you, the potential buyer, get a better look at them! However they may underestimate the environment they are about to enter, or overestimate one of their animals' temperature capacities. Yeah, pretend that's the lore reason.)
  • Due to the traders having (many) animals, it might be a good idea to get this mod as well, as to prevent unwanted, unauthorised crop-munching.
  • If you have any notes/comments/questions/suggestions, please feel free to leave them in the comments!

Other:
Sibling mod of Zoological Orbital Traders also made by me (sjaak31367)!
(Not required, but has a very similar working/purpose.)
Non-Steam version available on GitLab here[gitlab.com].

Idea by "Igabod", many thanks!

@sjaak31367

Do we have plans for a 1.6 update? Even if it'll take extra time to account for Odyssey content?
Evono 5 Jul @ 5:21pm
is 1.6 planned please?

@Sjaak31367 Oh thank god, it isn't just me. I was just about to ask. I keep getting them and I was wondering!

this mod will work with [GMT] Trading Spot and Dynamic Trade Interface and Traders Have Money 1.5 and Trader ships?

These seem very very common to me, even now. It's not quite 4/5 like before but it's probably about half of all traders, maybe a little more.

Anyone else notice that on a new game, In the first year I would get zoological trader every few days. Second year they become rare as hell.
Can't tell the timing exactly, but for sure on a new game you get a ton more traders (I notice this because I never have any economy running)

@sjaak31367: Thank you for being willing to test, you're amazing! Was this just with your mod, or did you include the others as well? Not sure if there is a weighting option, but decreasing the frequency they appear could be helpful. As much as I love animals, I do also love being able to sell my stuff! :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

@Deadmano, I can confirm they are showing up much more frequently than they are supposed to, I'll try to find a patch!

@sjaak31367: Thank you so much! I do run quite a few other mods, so it may very well be that there is a conflict among them. TraderGen and Trading Options are two trader-specific ones I have, if you'd care to test alongside those?

@Deadmano, Thank you for the report, I am currently investigating it!
