Description
Summary
Here's a mod that adds 111 new domains to the campaign of FotS.
It's completely vanilla, so no gameplay changes were made. For years I've wanted an expanded campaign for FotS without any significant overhaul to the gameplay. Nobody ever seemed to make one, so I decided to make one myself.

Features
- Added 111 historical domains that were in existence in the early 1860s.
- Extended the campaign to the late 1880s.
- Increased the amount of regions that need to be owned and that need to be loyal on all campaign settings. The increase is similar in percentage to the increase in regions.
- Increased the starting treasury for all factions, since there are so many more regions to invest in.
- Updated the roads and trade routes between these regions. (Though the roads are not visually updated, the movement point bonuses they have, do apply. Trade routes run over the accurate locations of the roads.)
- The ownership of those domains is given to the clans in command of the respective prefectures.
- Fertility rates are kept the same to the fertility of the original prefecture.
- Almost all of the special resources and ports are kept in the region of the capital to make those domains more profitable. Some ports, however, had to be moved.
- Compatible with most mods that don't adjust the start_pos file.

On a side note: The process of adding cosmetic borders and roads is extremely laborious, as much as I'd love to add them, I simply don't have the time to do so. I might do so in the future, but it won't be anywhere in the near future since there are other mods I'd like to create.

For further balancing, I recommend subscribing to my other mods:
For slower modernization (clan development) take a look at my "Clan Development Rebalance" mod.
For a later realm divide, subscribe to my "Clan Prestige Rebalance" mod.

(On a final note, a big thank you to Uanime5 for a detailed description on how to split regions. And another thank you to Izzi for providing some support. https://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?600630-How-to-split-a-region)

Hi Spyflander, I think the outdated sign doesn't matter. Recent updates to the game were about the use of the TW launcher and the engine behind the game. Not to how the data is used or what data the game uses. So as far as I understand, most, if not all mods, will function just fine :lunar2019grinningpig:

Hi, i played Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai a few years ago. Now I want to try with mods again. But every mod I try is listed as outdated in the Total War Launcher. Do they all work? The Lost Domains mod seems to work. New province names are at least displayed. I just started it briefly to test it.

Awesome! I'm glad that fixed it. Thanks for letting me know it worked out and have fun playing Clovis :KneelingBow:

Alrighty! The user script suggestion fixed it, ran with your mods only and names showed up, brought out the other mods and loaded my previous game and the names are showing. Thanks again for the help!

Then I have no clue what's happening Clovis.

There are a couple of troubleshooting options you can try:
Go to to the appdata folder of FOTS. (Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\scripts)
Delete the user.script.txt file if there is any, and try starting the game with only my mod again.
This has worked for some people in the past, and doesn't take too much time or effort.

If that doesn't work, delete all of the game, both in the folder just mentioned, as the whole installation folder. Reinstall a fresh copy and try a vanilla boot. If it works as intended, restart after activating this mod and see if it works. Takes more effort, but the most thorough possible fix you can try.

Other than that, I don't know what advice to give. I've never encountered the issue myself.

I ran the game with just the lost domain mod and the clan prestige mod, the map still loaded up with the names missing.

Could you, just for the hell of it, try to start my mod without having any of the other mods active? This way we can check whether it's an issue with my mod, or a compatibility issue with the other mods. It might very well be that the other mods also change localization, and therefore the conflict in localization causes the names not to be loaded.

A few, Darthmod, FoTS Building a nation, Better clan traits, Strongholds of the Samurai 1-5, as well as your clan prestige mod, I also moved clan prestige and domains mod above Darthmod but still no luck on displaying names, the mod does run though just no names.

Hi Clovis, that's a surprise! Are you using any other mods perchance?
