Reliability and failures indication rework
Minor controls tweaks
Engine exhaust smoke indication system
Engine power and heat management rework
Model performance improvements

This is Antonov An-2, the most produced biplane in the history of aviation, has been in production for more than 70 years. The largest single-engine biplane in the world.
Those who are interested in details can read about it on Wikipedia, while I will talk about this model.

This is another replica in my small collection of extremely realistic models.
The aircraft fully copies the dimensions, internal structure, interior and characteristics of the original (with minor adjustments to increase playability).
Parameters in the game:
- weight 3700 kg
- maximum speed 220 km/h
- cruising speed from 150 to 200 km/h
- flight range 250 km in economy (150 km/h) mode
- load capacity 1500 kg
- rate of climb 7 m/s

A complete simulation of the behavior of the engine and most systems of a real aircraft.
The fault system has been adjusted and now includes quite a lot possible malfunctions, including a broken control cable, engine fire, numerous electrical failures, engine systems failures, etc.

I will not write a complete guide, because I'm too lazy, so I will tell you very briefly about the main things.

Startup Procedure:
- turn on the battery
- open fuel tanks
- turn on both magnetos
- throttle 0.1
- spool up starter flywheel
- without releasing the flywheel, engage the starter clutch
- engine is running

For cold start (in the arctic)
- additionally enable oil dilution
- additionally turn on the booster pump
- hold the PRIME ENGINE button for a few seconds before starting
- monitor icing, turn on the heating of the pitot tube and carburetor

After launch:
- switch the cooling flaps to auto
- turn on the generator
- turn off the booster pump
- turn on the PT-125C inverter and radio altimeter
- turn on navigation and landing lights

In flight:
- monitor the temperature of the cylinders, it should not exceed 245 degrees. With prolonged temperature rise, engine fire and failure are inevitable.
- normal fuel pressure - more than 0.2
- normal oil pressure - 2 to 6
- normal oil temperature - 65 to 85
- normal cylinder temperature is 130 to 245. The engine loses power if it is too hot or too cold.
- manifold pressure at nominal 880 mm. Hg. The maximum is up to 1100.
- carburetor temperature > 0. If it`s below zero AND in bad weather, carburetor icing is possible, which leads to power loss and engine shutdown.
- monitor icing of the pitot tube (inadequate readings of speed, alt), if necessary, turn on the heating.
- nominal engine mode 0.82. If exceeded, engine wear and oil consumption increases. With a long flight at maximum throttle, overheating and engine fire is possible, the likelihood of breakdowns also increases.
- in case of engine fire, use a fire extinguishing system. The fire extinguisher has only 2 charges. If both are used, nothing but burning remains. The fire extinguisher can only be reloaded on the ground by pressing the MAINTENANCE button.
- in case of breakdowns, act according to the circumstances.

Possible breakdowns:
- failure of the main fuel pump (driven by the engine, does not require control). Repair on the ground.
- booster pump failure (needed to increase engine power or in case of failure of the main pump). Repair on the ground.
- battery failure (shorts all electrics). Repair in the tail section. A temporary solution is to turn off the battery and fly using generator only.
- breakdown of magneto. Repair on the ground. Possible flight using one magneto, in case of failure of both the engine works very poorly.
- generator failure. Repair on the ground. Battery only flight is possible.
- failure of the inverter powering attitude gyro and gyrocompass. In the event of a failure of the main inverter, the backup automatically turns on, the PT-125C RESERVE lamp lights up. In the event of a failure of the backup inverter, some devices stop working. Repair on the ground.
- icing of the pitot tube and failure of the heating system. Repair in the tail section.
- lighting failure. Salon, instrument lighting, external lights. Repair in the tail section.
- individual failure of any of the instruments. Repair in the tail section.
- breakage of control cables to any of the control surfaces. Repair in the tail section.
- engine oil leak and oil pump failure. Flying without oil is not good.
- engine fire. It happens from overheating or due to bad luck. If you do not put out for a short time, the engine will irreversibly fail.
- surprises. No additional comments.

Attention! If you do not want the plane to break down, you need to press all 4 repair buttons and leave them pressed, or use special key switch in the tail section..

After landing:
- check the oil level (left hood). If necessary, add oil from the canister, which is in the tail section. A stepladder is not included.
- check engine wear and overall aircraft wear (right hood, DUR and ENG LIFE).
- check for breakdowns (monitor under the right hood), a hint with the breakdown codes is there.
- if necessary, repair (REPAIR) and service (MAINTENANCE). Repair repairs system breakdowns (you dont say), maintenance restores the fire extinguisher, the durability of the entire aircraft and the life of the engine (when pressed for more than 10 seconds). You will find the buttons by yourself.
- If necessary, repair electrics and control cables (tail section).

This aircraft does not have an autopilot, but it stabilizes in flight itself, there is no need to constantly control it. Landing is very simple, just decrease the thrust to 0.4-0.5, and the plane will land itself.
The refueling ports are on the wings.
Near the back door there is an ground power connector, in case of dead batteries.

I remind you that this is the most realistic model that can only be created in the Stormworks. I tested this model for several months, and everything works in it as it should. If something doesn’t work for you, that means you encountered malfunction or you are doing something wrong. Everything is perfectly tuned and works as it should, and it might be quite irritating.
But using some luck, you can fly from the main island to the Arctic and not crash.
Good luck!

+Fun, even taking this thing off and managing the engine is a chore, i was able to fly for an hour before i got struck by lightning, sick plane!

thanks for fixing it
