The Clinchfield Railroad (CRR) was an operating and holding company for the Carolina, Clinchfield and Ohio Railway (COO). It ran through the Appalachian mountian region of the United States connecting the coal mines of the region as well as acting as a trunk line through the mountains. For many years the Clinchfield Railroad was leased jointly by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and the Louisville and Nashville Railroad. When L&N merged with Seaboard Coast Line in 1983 to form Seaboard System Railroad, Clinchfield was merged into Seaboard as well.

The EMD GP7 was the first generation of "general purpose" diesel-electric locomotives produced by General Motor's Electro-Motive Division. They were built from 1949 to 1954. It's successor, the EMD GP9, was nearly identical in appearance yet had a bit more power. The GP9 was built from 1954 to 1963 and became EMD's most successful locomotive at the time.

The CRR would purchase 18 GP7's and 2 GP9's. Many of the GP7's would later be rebuilt as GP11's or GP16's, but the two GP9's would be wrecked and scrapped by 1971.

@Epitome Of Excellence - I would say to try the TpF1 -> TpF2 Converter by eat1963, but it doesn't seem to work since the latest game update.

I understand, wish I could convert. Tried and it didn't work...

@Epitome Of Excellence - Afraid not. I'm a fan of zukzf's EMD 1500, as well as some of his other mods. Hopefully he'll start converting his TpF1 mods soon.
