Always Zoom Out

Description
Always shows the game zoomed out while enabled.

If you install this mod, it will always show the game zoomed out with or without the owl or special items. This will make it so you don't have to cheat in items to zoom out in every save and should be convenient, and also doesn't give any missing mod/missing item warnings in multiplayer.

Getting out of the Exomech specifically seems to stop this from working and switching back to owl at that point doesn't seem to work either. Just made me appreciate the mod even more tho.

Wow this completely pointless argument happened exactly a year ago, also thanks for the mod, got harder to build some stuff while zoomed in.

Really enjoy this mod. The statement about cheating in items makes me beg the question. Does this mod not disable achievements? Lastly I noticed occasionally the mod can sort of turn off when I exit vechiles that change zoom from mounted to unmounting. I suspect it’s directly related to the view scale changes that occur when flying them and the dismount overrides the mod. Easy fix is save / exit / continue but I thought to note it. Thanks again love this mod and the game :)

I don't think you're trying to attack me, but you are being pushy and not accepting that I'm not taking your suggestion. Now that Aground is out of Early Access, I'm trying to cut back on the suggestions I accept, and zoom level was not something anyone complained about during Early Access (you may not be aware, but there was a lot of feedback, suggestions, criticism and improvements made during Early Access).

I know that you and a few others feel strongly about the zoom level, and that's why I added zooming to the owl familiar and this mod. If you feel like this mod fixes the problem for you and you enjoy Aground, then by all means play and enjoy the game. If it doesn't, then ask for a refund. I do hope you'll use the mod and enjoy the game, but I understand if this doesn't work for you - I don't want you to play Aground if playing it literally hurts your eyes - you have to take care of your health.

"hey accessibility would make this game more approachable" is not "I hate the art style of this game and you as a person suck". I genuinely don't know why that's so hard to wrap your head around. I love the art style but the eyestrain the constant zoom in causes makes it so I, and apparently enough others for you to make a familiar dedicated to it, can't play. Not everyone is out to get you. You put this in early access to get input but now that you've got it you're acting like we're attacking you.

Look, I argued enough about this here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/876650/discussions/0/2566438792557502849/

If you are one of the few players who take issue with how the game looks and it gives you eyestrain, and this mod is no good for you, then ask for a refund. It's not like Aground is the only low res pixel art game out there, and if you don't like low res pixel art games, don't get mad at me, simply don't buy the game - all of the art/trailer assets should make it very clear what you're getting visually with Aground.

That's still conveniently ignoring the fact that the console ports won't have this mod but will still have the same issues. In the long run people are going to be more mad about the eyestrain that makes the game unplayable than they will having to wait a little bit longer.

That was why I created this mod, as a mod doesn't require translations, code changes, and delays to the console ports, but it still does almost the same thing.

"Adding an option at this point, even though it seems like a simple thing and the code for zooming out already exists, would require translating the new option text to all supported languages and sending an update to the console port devs which would further delay the console port. Unless it's a huge issue for a large percent of the players, I'm not adding it."
