FEATURES:
- Single Point AP System with Full Stop at Destination (GPS X/Y and Altitude)
- ALTITUDE HOLD System (see below for details)
- DUCTED FAN PUSHER Motor Systems (see below for details) with speeds up to 60 m/s
- 4000L of Jet Fuel split between two tanks (Port and SB) with an automatic FUEL BALANCER system (on by default). When active the system will automatically transfer fuel back and forth between the two tanks in order to ensure the RAPTOR remains balanced. Range in ENGINE OVR Mode at 60 m/s is approximately 200km.
- Multi Range (100m-5KM) 360' RADAR System
- Multi Band Radio System (1-Way and 2-Way Modes)
- Gimbal Camera with on screen controls, Night Vision and Laser Distancer
- Heater control system that when engaged will attempt to maintain 20'c in cockpit.
- Full HUD with Night Vision (NV), Speed, Compass, Engine, Pusher Throttle, Altitude, Artificial Horizon, Systems and AP Information.
- Three MFDs (LEFT, MAIN, RIGHT). The MAIN MFD has access to 6 Panels: 1. Interactive MAP (MAP); 2. Weather (ENV); 3. RADAR (RDR); 4. Gimbal Camera with onscreen controls (click where you want the camera to go) (GMB), 5. Weapon Info and Control (ARM); 6. Flares Controller (FLR). The LEFT MFD can cycle between: 1. Engine Data; 2. Fuel Consumption; 3. Down Facing Camera. The RIGHT MFD can cycle between: 1. Radio Controls; 2. Clock; 3. Down Facing Camera
- In the wheel well of the forward landing gear there is a set of Arctic Gear. To the Rear of the RAPTOR and on top there are two sliding hatches with empty gear containers on either side.
- Ground Anchor System using MAG-ALLs to hold the RAPTOR in place when parked
- DART DUMBFIRE ROCKET SYSTEM with 6 available pylons (currently 4 rockets mounted). If you want to mount additional rockets just copy and past the DART with the pylon points separated by one block and pointed at each other. On spawn they will automatically connect and the weapon will communicate with the FIRE CONTROL SYSTEM so it can be added to the available inventory. NOTE: In order to fire the DARTs the FIRE CONTROL SYSTEM must be armed. Switch to the ARM PANEL on the MAIN MFD and choose to ARM the system.

GETTING IN TO THE AIR...
1. Sit in the Pilot's seat and to the front left is the ENGINE POWER Panel. Flip the switch to power on the Jet Turbine. It will start up in IDLE MODE which provides enough RPS to recharge batteries on the group.
2. Hit the UP Arrow on the ENGINE POWER PANEL to put the RAPTOR in to either FLIGHT (FLT) or OVERDRIVE (OVR) mode. FLIGHT MODE provides an adequate amount of power for slow loitering and conserving Fuel. OVERDRIVE is for high speed and maneuvering. In most cases you will want to use OVR mode.
3. ENGINE will start to spool up.

Now you have choices on how to Fly...

ALTITUDE HOLD:
- Hit the ALT HOLD BUTTON on the Top Left CONTROLS panel to engage the ALTITUDE HOLD button. When the system is active you can use the 1 and 2 keys to INCREMENT and DECREMENT the requested HOLD ALTITUDE. The system will automatically set the starting HOLD ALTITUDE to the altitude you were at when you engaged the system.

PUSHER DUCTED FAN MOTOR:
There is a supplementary DUCTED FAN system which is used to thrust the RAPTOR forward while remaining level. Press the 3 and 4 Keys to INCREASE and DECREASE the Throttle Percentage of the system. You will see the requested level reflected on your HUD to the BOTTOM Right. At 100% PUSHER POWER and AUTOHOVER OFF you will be getting a speed of around 60 m/s (216 km/h, 116 knots, 134 mph)

AP:
To the right of the PILOT there are two keypads: GPS X/Y (Large Keypad) and Destination Altitude (Small Keypad). Plug in the Destination GPS Coordinates using the large key and enter the Altitude you wish to achieve at the Destination on the small keypad. Click on the AP Start button in the Top Left CONTROL panel. The RAPTOR will takeover and plot a progressive path to your destination at top speed adjusting the altitude on route. When you arrive it will be your designated GPS coordinates and the altitude. The RAPTOR will come to a stop and turn on AUTOHOVER for position holding.

AUTOHOVER:
Hitting Key 6 will toggle the AUTOHOVER mode on (GYRO HOVER) to assist with slower level flight. There is an indicator just beyond the HUD that will be lit when AUTOHOVER is engaged.

"TAKE OFF THE TRAINING WHEELS...":
The RAPTOR shines in Free Flight Mode. Turn off all the assistive systems (ALT HOLD and AUTOHOVER) and using a combination of the PUSHER MOTOR, PITCH, YAW and ROLL put her through her paces. Use ROLL to go heavy over, PITCH BACK and apply FULL COLLECTIVE to implement extremely tight turns. ROLL back level to continue with flight. With the PUSHER MOTOR at higher throttles she will be capable of loops and barrel rolls. Use liberal amounts of ROLL, and PITCHING just like you were in a plane.

SHUTTING DOWN and PARKING:
1. After Landing switch the ENGINE down to IDLE mode and apply the PARKING BRAKES (CENTRE LEFT PANEL) to keep her in place.
2.Flip the switch to turn the ENGINE POWER off. In order to bring the ROTORS to a stop there is an optional ROTOR BRAKE available to the left of the PILOT near the INTERNAL LIGHTS controls. There are additional switches to power down the HUD and the MFDs (MAIN, LEFT and RIGHT)
3. After exiting the RAPTOR next to the ladder there are optional GROUND ANCHOR deploy buttons. Hitting the button will swivel down two MAG-ALL from the belly and engage them when they reach full deployment.

Hi John M. 5S-11. I'm working on a new update that will be using the RAPTOR XL version. It's a larger version of this helicopter that was issued as Civilian only but is being updated with a Military version. Currently in the works is a Light Autocannon tied to Mouse Look and 8 pylons for weapons.

weapon dlc update?

Yeah man, I've been checking out builds looking for good systems for my own creations, since I've got no coding experience and I'm new to the game. I was an aircraft maintenance engineer for some years and your stuff is easily the best I've seen, its just too complicated for me to pick apart like I can most other stuff, haha.

Thanks that_frog_kurtis. :) I'm considering putting some versions on the Workshop but I just need to go through them to make them "generic" enough. I typically find I tweak them with some extra considerations for each build. I start off with the intention that they will be generic and to only use them that way but the OCD in me has me tweaking the heck out of them specific to a build. The devil really is in the details.

This is amazing, some of the most complex logic I've come across. Would you ever consider putting modular versions of your HUD and fly by wire systems up on the market place?

cool!

thank you

Altitude Hold works by doing the following...

At the time you start Altitude Hold it will set the HOLD ALTITUDE to the value when you started it. To adjust it you hit Key 1 or Key 2 in order to increment or decrement that hold value. The RAPTOR will then try to maintain that Altitude.

The Keypad to the right of the pilot is tied to the the AP System. For AP you put in the GPS X and Y using the large keypad and the destination Altitude using the small keypad. When you engage AP it will plot a progressive course where you will arrive at X and Y at the altitude you requested.
