Description
This mod adds a hardcore start to the game, a new hive and a new style of gameplay, where your only friends are adepts of cannibalism, and your faction will be built with relatives of the Fogmen/DeadHive.


Okay, so; What's new:

-I've fixed the common Fogmen's stat multipliers, resistances, special foods, hit percentages, pathing and water avoidance values; so any mod that alters/fixes those is unnecessary.

-There's a new Hive in town, the Banished Hive, they're now part of the Banished Queen's essential force; They'll spawn alongside fogmen, but in smaller amounts; They are physically stronger then normal hivers, and some of them may possess different XP multipliers.

-This start essentially depends on your Queen, she posesses the ability to draw the Fogmen towards her cause, including the Banished Hivers, this ability is managed by a new dialogue script; at the beggining of the game you'll be able to recruit any of the Fogmen around you, but after one recruitment, you'll be set on a timer of 6 hours, after those 6 hours tick, you'll be able to talk with 1/3rd of the total Fogmen available, and if the one you wanted to recruit can't be talked to, you'll have to wait another 6 hours to tick by, and then you'll have access to a little more then 2/3rds of the total fogmen, and it may go up to 100% again if one awaits the total of 18 hours. Recruiting at any point will reset the timer.

-The Queen has some basic knowledge of production, i've done that to reduce the grinding a fair bit, and allow players to work on early bases after their first few raids.

-Don't forget that the Queen herself is barely able to fight, she'll not be a great warrior anytime soon, and that also builds up for her being a little slow and eating as much as an adult bull.

-Most factions are extremely agressive towards your cause and your hive, but you'll find friends amongst cannibalistic factions.

-Money has little use now, there are still a few groups you can trade with, but i'll let you figure out who they are. ;]

-Due to the player being unable to develop a base trough trading, you'll have to raid, all the time; Raiding early will have you looking for basic resources, food, wheatstraw, iron plates, fabrics, building mats, etc. And later on you'll be raiding for blueprints, better crafting materials and research material.


There's some more info in the description of the new start, and a little more on each of the new hiver's description. They're mostly about some lore i've created to explain how this faction came to be.

Patch for Odyssey is out, let me know if it has any bugs;

@[РУС]ASH - There shouldn't be any crashes if this is the only mod with Fogmen recruitment that you have, having more than one may screw up the values or the editing screen that's supposed to open when you manage to talk to one :leninsmile:

Works a little bit but can't recruit any fogmen. Would love some help on how to properly merge it with the odyssey mod.

The mod is built into Odyssey but the developer of the overhaul wanted to do something else with it so the option to start with the Banished Queen is gone; you could try running both mods and see if anything breaks, if it doesn't work from the get-go you can add me on steam and i'll help you fix it, it's a matter of merging the mods in this case :wololo:

the mod author is the notorious Zodiac killer and he killed me so now i am his slave in the afterlife. if you download this mod, i will continue to suffer this man's whims...

Hey there; The broken animations are most likely caused by a different mod, if you have any kind of mod that adds/requires an animation package to be added to a race to work, they'll have to be added to the ones added by this mod and any other mod that adds a new race as well(Since you have Praetorians that are not added by my mod, etc); It's a pretty simple process in FCS, all you need to know is which mod adds the new animation pack so that you can avoid generating conflicts;

Is there a way to fix the hiver animations, sitting workbench etc for the queen and praetorians?
