Description
The Grumman C-1A (originally TF-1 prior to 1962) Trader was the answer to the US Navy's need for a more capable Carrier Onboard Delivery (COD) aircraft. It was derived from the S2 Tracker and had a slightly wider and deeper fuselage to facilitate large amounts of passengers and cargo. They could deliver anything from mail to fully assembled jet engines and served into the late 1980's even after the C-2 Greyhound had technically replaced them 20+ years prior.

This rendition of the Trader is an amalgamation of several paint jobs of Traders that served aboard the USS Ranger (CV-61); all beared the number '000' and were referred to as "Triple Nuts" as a pun off of "naught" or zero. It is configured to carry 9 passengers.

Specifications:

- Max Speed: 188 KIAS
- Cruise Speed: 150 KIAS*
- Max Range: 120 Km (can be extended but at the cost of speed)
- Fuel Capacity: 9000 LBS

*Note: Because the aircraft is much lighter then it's ASW counterpart its performance is much better. To cruise at 140 KIAS adjust the throttle to 0.80 rather then 0.88. When descending, maintain a manifold pressure of 46in/HG rather the 48 in/HG as seen in the Tracker tutorial video.

Operations:

Please click the link for a full video tutorial on all systems and there operations.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA_-QsIaDpk&t=744s
*Note: You can skip the second half of the video as it does not apply to this aircraft

- In the event you have Admiralty flying with you there is Flag Placards (screens) located on the outside of both engine cowlings. By touching the "Placard" you can change the Admiralty flag to reflect their rank.

In COD we trust!

Single Engine Flight:
If you suffer an engine failure follow these steps to remain airborne.

- Advance Throttle Full Forward
- If the Failing Engine is on fire, close Fuel Valve and extinguish fire
- Turn on Rudder Assist
- Open Cowl Flaps
- Turn on working engines Aux Fuel Pump
- Attempt restart of failed engine *DO NOT ATTEMPT RESTART IF ENGINE FAILED DUE TO FIRE*
- If engine cannot be restarted, Feather Prop and close Fuel Valve
- Extend Flaps as needed
- To keep the aircraft balanced switch between fuel tanks intermittently.
- Monitor the good engine's temperature, if it begins to overheat lower throttle slightly until temperature drops.
- Land as soon as possible

***ENSURE YOU HAVE 'INFINITE ELECTRICITY' TURNED OFF IN THE OPTIONS***

UPDATE 25 OCT 2022:
- Improved Ground Handling
- Improvement for lower 'Psychics Settings'
- Host of other cosmetic and functionality improvements

ENJOY!

PILOTKYLE1, do you have 'infinite electricity' turned on? If so turn it off.
