The DD51 is Japan's most famous diesel locomotive, which has been in production since 1962, and a few are still in service today.
Limited Express Hokutosei
The Hokutosei (EN-North star) is one of Japan's most famous sleeper expresses. However, it was discontinued in 2015 due to the construction of the Hokkaido Shinkansen.
