Mount Doomed

Description
The power of the volcano has drawn many to Mount Doomed for centuries, yet none have wrested its power from the spirits that jealously guard its barren lands. Wild things, Kobolds, Myrkalfar and many Valkyrie have been drawn to the spirits of the island and help defend it from viking clans.

Until today. Today, you race 5 other clans to take the power of Mount Doomed! You must eliminate the other players. The spirits are angered by your presence and have stolen the fertile lands of the island for themselves, draining all the life and food from the coast lands.

Your home clan will send regular food shipments, but it isn't clear they will support your campaign forever. Your warchief has been sent along with extra resources in the initial landing party to help clear the hostiles on every tile.

Capture the farms near the volcano, if you dare, and face the wrath of the spirits. Hunt down the fat boars for what precious extra food you can gather. Your enemy's have some food stockpiled which you can raid in capturing their townhall. Build food silos along the coast to help stock up on food.

The island is littered with shipwrecks and treasure from failed attempts before it. Is seeking these treasures worth the risk?

BETA: Needs more balancing, play testing, and maybe some bug fixes.

Difficulty:
Easy gives lots of food very regularly.
Normal gives much less food
Hard is not finished, and so is the same as normal for now.

Food:
Villagers won't gather food.
Farms produce much more food (+50%)
Food silos can be built on your town hall and on tiles with ports
Food comes in large amounts every year, with some years getting smaller shipments within
On easy, food stops coming by April 806
Defeating a townhall grants food. The sooner you defeat it, the more food you get
Sheepfold food is reduced by 50%
healer produces 75% less food

Scouts:
Scouts die after searching a ruin
Scouts don't need upgrades to scout enemy territory

AI:
They don't understand the mod well (no food anywhere!), so they are given bonus food to keep them challenging

This mod is meant for a single player, and won't work for more than one.

But if u had a food resource at spawn or something like that it would just be a normal scenario und ragnarök. Right now it feels special compared to the normal Northgard gameplay. Its time consuming, but its fun :)

well as I mentioned I struggled against the first enemy when I was just about to clear the first food tile. However when I built an army and killed that one, I got two food tiles without any contest (which were enough to win the game and be stuck on max food (with two silos already). Afterwards I was able to sustain 12 warband upgraded with bear relic maiden and bear. At that point it was easy. AI was struggling, had low villagers, barely an army. I just had to scout everything and bother around with some neutrals but it just took some time and wasnt challenging from then on. So maybe yeah but later boosts? Cause the start was freaking hard and if it would get even harder I wouldnt be sure if the mod is still enjoyable :)

nice mode, I really enjoyed it! I played with bear which was helpful to slow down the food drain during winter a bit better :) took me until year 808 january to win this. This was my first try and I havent tried out any other clans. Had a really hard time during the first years but it was a fun and refreshing experience!
AI struggles hard cause they dont try to clear the farms on their own. However they fight each other and when I cleared my first farm one AI came onto it with a huge army. Wasnt possible to win at that point so I was struggling for some more months :D

I haven't been given much feedback on which clans are hardest and where needs attention. I have played my own map but it took me a few tries to really "get it" and be successful. I went through a few winters panic buying food to stay alive and a few periods of starvation before I was able to capture a farm.

Do you have specific feedback on what needs balancing?

this mod still need a lot of balance & change
but seems this mod has been abandoned
or the author didn't think that's a problem

Gona have a very bad game with the rules, always sick if grow pop large.

Wolf and Goat seems to be good picks.
Raven can merc but against humans these raids do nohting

i recommend every clan have a food resource at townhall or near
or villager & healer produces 50% less food
except deer sheep & raven , other clan are difficult to keep food
that make other clan can only have 6 pop & proboble impossible to get farm
