Description
This mod replaces the Soundtrack and menu music with the ones from Hellsing as requested by Jūshirō Ukitake.

For the updated content changes, take a look at the change notes. :)

-------------------------------------

If you want to customize your soundtrack, as you might have done with textures, here you get how the soundtrack works:

The game uses the folder Game\sound\music.

There it searches for the file xmusic1.mp3

If a mp3 ends, and there is a file with actual number + 1 like xmusic2.mp3 after playing xmusic1.mp3, than that one will be played next.

If there is no further file, or there is a gap between the actual files number and the next one, like xmusic1, xmusic2 and xmusic4, than it restarts with the first file.

Until now I don't know if there is a max number of soundtrack files that are used.

-------------------------------------

All my soundtracks will contain every single title in a seperate mp3 file, so you can easily delete or change a specific one, or change their order.

-------------------------------------

These tracks are neither done by me nor do I own any rights on them. No copyright infringement intended.

it was a request ;)
while I like Hellsing, I wouldn't use it with AoE myself - there are great things that just don't add up that good...

And it is really great you did. :)
Feedback is really important for me!

In this case this bug occurs because of AoEs bad workshop integration. The default soundtrack has 20 tracks (since FE, 1 before that). By verifying your game cache, you can only delete these 20 tracks.

This is for the verification feature is only meant to check your original game installation. So this functionality doesn't touch additional stuff that you might want to keep automatically.

This is correct and important, but for HiddenPath didn't implement any uninstallation routines for used mods but suggested to missuse steams verification functionality for this, this leads to massive mod remains - for AoE is meant to be modded by adding stuff in many cases instead of changing existing stuff.

So in case a soundtrack mod contains more than 20 tracks (as the starcraft and also this one do) the verification only takes care of the first 20 tracks for they replace original tracks. The other ones are additional and therefore remain until you take care of them manually.

To get rid of these tracks, open your AoE\sound\music folder and delete every track that's not part of the hellsing soundtrack (that contains 21 tracks).

The only way to avoid this is to use my mod manager and install mods with it - in that case my tool is able to remove mods completelly with just one click.

I thought about that before comenting so I erased and unsubscribed the starcraft mod and this one and put the hellsing one again but the song still pups up... maybe it's just me but I wanted to share that.

Did you use a starcraft soundtrack before subscribing to this one?
