Description
(SV Tier 2, Size Class 1, Unlock Level 10)

Primary roles: CPU Tier 2 all-purpose ship, survival, warp, adaptable, upgradable, inexpensive, storage, light combat, o2, fridge, armor locker, drone hatch


The FX-14N Nomad is a highly versatile all-purpose SV that comes equipped with survival essentials, good storage/ammo capacity, and much more. It is readily upgradable with detailed instructions and clearly marked locations for new components/devices. It is also capable of multiple configurations according to your desired playstyle. The following checklist is the T3 upgrade instructions listed in the ship:

Suggested T3 upgrade path (Deafult configuration is Assault)
1. Remove T2 CPU block and add 2 CPU T3 blocks (T3)
2. Add 2 generators (G)
3. Add shield (SH) (assign to Weapons/Shield signal logic)
4. Add Constructor (C) (assign to shortcut)
5. Add 2 Gatling guns next to existing guns (assign to Weapons/Shield signal logic)
6. Add 4 Homing Rocket Launchers in side wings (assign to Weapons/Shield signal logic)
7. Add 2 T2 L Thrusters on bottom ports (marked with ✸)
8. Replace M thrusters on rear with T2 L Thrusters
9. Replace S thrusters on upper rear area with slanted M thrusters (marked with ✸)

After the ship has been upgraded, the following configurations are possible:

Configuration options:
ASSAULT CONFIG:
The suggested T3 upgrade instructions lead to the assault configuration (default).

MINING CONFIG:
The Nomad can be configured to harvest resources by replacing 2 of the outside gatling cannons with laser drills, and adding 43 container extensions plus harvest controller (5500 Storage) to marked area in cargo hold.

DEFENSIVE CONFIG:
Replace 2 Gatling Cannons and 2 Rocket Launchers with 3 Minigun Turrets - 1 on marked area on top rear of ship, and 1 on the outsides of each wing (3 total).

BALANCED CONFIG:
Replace 2 Gatling Cannons with 2 laser drills, and 2 Rocket Launchers with 1 Minigun Turret (marked on top rear of ship). Add 33 container extensions plus harvest controller (4250 storage) to marked area in cargo hold.

General features

It comes standard with 2 gatling cannons, 1.5K ammo storage, 10K standard storage, warp drive, o2, armor locker, and fridge. It also has WiFi, detector, and has exterior lights controlled by the P menu "ExteriorLights" control. Main storage is balanced throughout the ship. There is also a drone hatch with LED/flare indicators, and a decent sized area on top for docking smaller craft. There are clearly marked areas around the ship for upgrades, as well as instructions listed via LED display on how to do so. It is very affordable for what it offers, requiring very few semi-rare materials.

Offense and Defense

The ship is completely built with steel. It has 2 gatling cannons and 1.5K ammo storage. It is ready for weapon and shield upgrades when available in the clearly marked ports. There is also a marked area on the top-rear of the ship to place a minigun turret.

Hi Siguols, I'm glad you like the ship! The cargo extensions should go where the outline stripes are on the floor next to the warp drive/shield area. You shouldn't have to remove any blocks. Also, the configuration options are assuming you have already upgraded the ship to tier 3, so any additions to the ship will need that cpu upgrade. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi,
First of all, this is a very nice build!

I wonder where the cargo boxes should go to get the "mining config". You write that is marked in the cargo area, but i cant see any. And if i try to take out the senter "walkway" then the textures become all wrong.
